NotW XLI: Chronomancy Redux [Game Thread]

Actually we expected to be outed much earlier than we were, I expected people to suspect someone who started skewering people with a sword and went slightly berserk ;)
People respect a demon-killer... :p

If you look at our QT you will see that I advocated approaching Winston of all people to try to get the word out through back channels. Thankfully BL talked me out of that as it would have been a disaster.

I lol'ed when I read that.

People might respect a demon-killer but not someone who goes about striking people at random.

Yes, but we had no way of proving we were town if we knifed a few towners in a row. Many NotW games have had Righteous Good factions like ours which have been completely anti-Town.

I'll check the setup when I have time, my first reaction is "what the hell??!? We lost this?"

Things were awesomely good for us, even after I was killed. We would have worked for a victory with the Town, and I would have claimed to Renata and Frozen if I wasn't worried that paranoia about our true goals.

Anyway, it was a pleasure to work with you Takhisis and Harkonnen. :)

Thank you for hosting this game TFA, I really enjoyed it. :goodjob:

And good job demons! Though I'll have to figure how you could steal this one from us with one survivor against er, around 15 enemies. *scratches head*

You saw the WoG on Aiolos, right Romanic?

I read the WOG, but I still don't understand how a lone demon can win against all the remaining players being his enemies. As I said, I need to read the setup - how is a WOGed chronomancer bad for the Town?

The chronomancer were rewinding time to day 2, beacuse if Day 4 came about, the storm would kill everyone except the demons.

An example of a game where the writeups contained vital clues we needed to know to win, otherwise disaster would happen.

Takhisis, what WAS it with you and Romanic both pressing me for a role reveal over and over and over? Any point to that, or just for the lulz?
My point to press you for a reveal was just trying to discuss the game with you without revealing that I was a Paladin working with Harkonnen, but you chose not to reveal even I gave you my ability (and claimed Town). :(

Occasionally I am stubborn like that.

By that time, of course, I was the only active Chronomancer left, I was doing an awful job at it... and outnumbered by you Paladins. :p Anti-Chrono sentiment was enough that I couldn't do much at that point :D

My contacting you wasn't to patronize you, I was always for the chronomancers against the demons and I would have been willing to work with you against the demons. I was really hoping that you would come around and reveal to me on the level so that we could proceed to get the demons from there, but I went about it too cautiously. In retrospect there is much I could have done to sway you but I was just obsessed with not outing my faction too early...

Oh, stop feeling frustrated for that. You could feel frustrated about the fact that HarkonnenII convinced you to talk me into doing things which we'd already planned… it was actually fun to wait around and see you pressure :p
Heh-heh.

For the record I wasn't trying to be a **** for the lulz I was trying to maintain a cover as not attached to Takhisis, otherwise I wouldn't have played mind games with you Renata :p

Though I did enjoy working with you and your group, I felt like I was making more of a difference than a kill each afternoon.

We did our best to hide and let the Knight be our visible face and we weren't outed until Romanichine was killed. But once we were outed, as we were bound to be, we'd be antagonised by you lot sooner or later.

The moment I finished reading my role, my abilities, and what you guys were, I knew I'd have to be the public face. I was worried the entire game about my performance as I'm not really this kind of guy. Thank you to my teammates for putting trust in me :D

A-men.

People might respect a demon-killer but not someone who goes about striking people at random.

Hey, my gut feelings and I resent that comment!

I do. You're bound to hit scumbags no one ever thought of pressuring that way.

And that's why I love ya pizza ;)

Sorry about my inactivity, but I intended to vote right near the end of each day so that I could vote for someone whom I thought would be the best lynch target, but each I left it too late ad by then I realised I had been wasting the time so I thought it was better to be replaced and let the host know.

@BL, whenever I assume, I make an ass out of you and me. :(

Don't worry, classical, things like that happen.

When I said 'anti-Chrono sentiment' I was talking about most of the town. I wasn't sure how much I could reveal - that's why I was so careful with what I said.

Oh I know, you were in quite a tough position so I didn't expect you to just roll over on the info.

I wonder how the game would've continued if we had joined forces?

If your killing all demons personally VC was met then, um, we would have won…
Personal Goal: If you can personally slay all the demons yourself, you and your team will instantly win the game with the innocents.
But I'm not so sure about the Chronomancers. They aren't mentioned actually.

Very very sorry everyone, I had no idea what was going on and was on vacation almost the whole time I was in the game. I failed the host this time.
