NotW XXII: The Long March - Signup Thread

Can either the Luggage or Death (or in this case I'd guess it would be Arawn) make a cameo appearance. You have no idea how happy I'd be. :p

Terry Pratchett? The man who wrote Feet of Clay which I've recently finished and The Light Fantastic which I'm reading now?

Nope, I've never heard of him.

Dude, you gotta set your priorities straight : Read 'Reaper man' first, and 'Small gods', and... read them all. ;)

Small Gods is one of my favourites. Also the later City-watch-based ones are great.

Night Watch is my favorite, even if it did make me cry.

Granny is my favorite character, though, and I really love Lords and Ladies, Witches Abroad, Wyrd Sisters and all of those.

We need some more oneers

I'd like some more members before starting.

(Also I need more time to write up starting PMs.)

I like the Night Watch ones the best. Are you sure those two are the only ones you've read? Because your 'history' description bears an uncanny resemblance to a historical battle from Thud!

Thanks Tasslehoff, that's the one I was thinking about, but couldn't remember precisely.
And @Love : They're all awesome... Some just more than others ;)
Anyone read 'Good Omens' ?

Good Omens is absolutely brilliant, two of my absolute favorite authors doing a book together.

I've read:

The Colour of Magic

Guards! Guards!
Men at Arms
Feet of Clay

and am in the process of reading:

The Light Fantastic

I find the Night Watch ones the best myself. Though, I still love Rincewind.

But heck, those are the only two "paths" (I'm unsure of the proper terminology!) I've read so far. Beggars can't be choosers.

Uncanny sometimes how alike we think.
Probably the best End of the world/Comedy book ever written.
Say, wouldn't it make a great background for a NotW spinoff... ?

Take your pick : The Rincewind Saga (8 books)
The guards footpath (8 books)
The Witches trilogy (4 books!)
The DEATH books (3 books)
And the new Moist von Lipwig saga (2 books so far)
Or the others...
My personal recommendation to you would be 'Small Gods'.

And we got started on this offtopicky path because your battle looked like the battle of Koom valley between the dwarves and trolls; Both sides say it was an ambush and both claim it as a victory.

But enough of Pratchett, where are the other players ??
Damn, I really miss Pinman... PM anyone ?

I didn't PM anyone yet...I will begin to do so once I have more of the character PMs written up.

(Also some ideas on whom to bother would be nice!)

Yeah I was going to suggest him. You could also try pinman, although I doubt he will join :(.

Pinman won't join no. But anyone who played the last game should be a prime candidate.

After reading the older threads, this looks fun, so I'll be joining in thread one. Please don't make me a werewolf on my first time please! :)
