Now I got spyware too!!

Danged thing is called "kalvsys." How do I get rid of it. Plus, I've done everything possible, but I still get popups even when I'm not on the internet! I do not want to have to wipe my HD all over again! (I already put mom thru 6 hours of doing it for me once, and I'm NOT looking forward to having to do it again.)

Do you have Ad-aware SE with an updated definition file? have you used any other ant-spyware programs?

I had AdAware 6.0 previously and upgraded to AdAware SE, but that seems to be worse. I can get popups the same day I run a scan. AdAware 6.0 sometimes found dll files it couldn't remove, suggesting I restart the computer and do another scan. SE don't report any such dlls, perhaps it can delete them now or maybe they are just ignored.

edit: now it happened again, I got a popup minutes after I ran a scan!

AdAware doesn't work. I still get popups.

Well, you could try using the Spyware scanner in the Yahoo toolbar, it uses definitions from pestpatrol.

Or you might want to go to pestpatol.com, they have a free scan that detects spyware and gives you its location on your computer- the catch is you would have to manually find and delete the files yourself.
