Ok, now that we know all factions/leaders, put them in order of your preference (based mainly on their lore/background, as we do not know all of their special abilities yet). For me it would be:

1. Franco-Iberia
2. Polystralia
3. Khavitan Protectorate
4. Slavic Federation
5. ARC
6. PAU
7. Brasilia
8. PAC

But I have to say that all of them seem interesting enough to play at least once.

I still need to read the back story to them. Polystralia and ARC are the one that are similiar to my playstyle. Does anyone know which factions get what bonus?

Franco-Iberia
Kavithan Protectorate
Polyastria
American Reclamation Corporation
Brasilia
Slavs
PAU
PAC

Bonuses known
ARC-better spies
FI-free tech for every 10 virtues
Brasillia-+10% melee unit strength
PAC-production bonus
SF-+20% orbital duration

Hinted:
Polystralia-trade route bonus

1. Slavic Federation
2. Kavithan Protectorate
3. Franco-Iberia
4. Brasilia
5. Polystralia
6. PAU
7. PAC
8. ARC

Since I don´t feel specially connected with any one of them. I feel like I´m probably gonna start of playing this game with the "Random Faction" option, along with as many random options as I feel comfortable with.

Then play the game based on what cards I´m dealt, for that time.

1. Polystralia
2. PAU
3-8. ...

PAU
PAC
SF
F-I
Polystralia
KP
Brazilia
ARC

must be because i'm a builder with democratic inclination (Pravin Lal!)

1) PAC
2) SF
3) Brazilia
4) Polystralia
5) ARC
6) Franco-Iberia
7) Kavithan Protectorate
8) PAU (sorry Barre :p)

I haven't really decided how much I like the factions because a lot about their backstories is left open for interpretation, but I'll list how and in what order I'm probably going to play them.

1.) Slavic Federation
Let's just see how useful satellites are. I think I'll try a tall aproach if this is still a good strategy and try to build a prosperous high-tech soiety with a relatively small army but some military satellites always on stand-by. Peace through the threat of orbital bombardment.

2.) ARC
I wanted to play Franco-Iberia second, but ARC seems to have a spy bonus and I can't wait to see how much you can do with espionage if you really focus on it. I don't really like them on a personal level because such a large corporation just can't be the good guy, so I'm going to play them as the duplicitous, ruthlessly pragmatic, greedy and power hungry cyberpunk villain that they are. Yes, we are going to steal your tech and resources. Go ahead and sue us (in our private courts where we pay everybody's salary).

3.) Franco-Iberia
I think I'll play them similar to the SF, but I'll really focus on culture and the Knowledge tree even to the detriment of other things and see how many passive bonuses I can rack up throgh virtues and leaf techs.

4.) PAC
I'll use the supposed production bonus to try and wonder spam and fully developmy cities. Probably trying topla them tall as well.

5.) Polystralia as a civ is an interesting concept and the trade bonus -regardless of it's nature- allows for a flexible style. I'll try to see how much you can manipulate the other factions through trade and bribes.

6-7.) Kavithan Protectorate and PAU. I simply don't know enough about them. Both would make for a good underdog story, but I'm not really excited until we learn about their UAs. I'll probably try to play both as harmony factions when I try them.

8.) Brasilia
Brazil as the militar superpower is an original concept, but I've never liked civs with a purely military bonus. I find them too specialized and boring. That'S why Germany was one of my favorite civs in most games, but in Civ5 I've only played them a couple of times. I think when I finally play Brasilia I'll pick the equivalent of the raging barbarians setting, go full xenocidal purity and abuse the hell out of the Scavenging virtue.

1) Panasian Cooperative
2) Slavic Federation
3) American Reclamation Corporation

4) Brasilia
5) Polystralia
6) People's African Union
7) Kavithan Protectorate
8) Franco - Iberia

Lore wise, based on the persons the leaders represent:
1) Franco-Iberia
2) Slavic Federation
3) Polystralia
4) People's African Union
5) Brasilia
6) PanAsian Cooperative
7) American Reclamation Corporation
8) Kavithan Protectorate
Game wise, based on the bonus and gameplay probabilly it would be other order

1) Franco-Iberia
2) Polynesia
3) Peoples African Union
4) Kavithan Protectorate
5) Brasilia
6) Slavic Federation
7) American Reclamation Corporation
8) Pan Asian Union

The lore of a semi neo-roman empire i find fascinating.

The background of polynesia also sounds really cool so i'm looking forward to trying these guys.

Affinity wise i have no idea, just going to try and play the game following my heart/gut with the quest system/tech system and see where the hell i end up based on making my decisions one at a time rather than try and pre plan it

The ARC, Kavithan Protectorate, and Polystralia sound the most interesting to me. Brasilia sounds the least interesting because only having military boni is boring. The rest fall somewhere in the middle.

I'm not going to be sitting around trying to min-max the first time through, so just based off of the backstore and lore for each faction I'll probably roll with the Peoples' African Union first and possibly shoot for a Harmony victory. That feels most appropriate.

Other ones I really like from their lore are Brasilia, Polystralia, and The Slavic Federation.

However, one thing I really like is that every faction has their likable points. I'm really interested to see how the in game interactions work out.

1. Slavic Federation, because СЛАВА!!!

2. ARC, because 'MERICA!!! (would be #1, but Congress said they can't use the flag :( ), also spooky illuminati symbolism. Could easily be a dystopian megacorp from a thousand different SciFi things.

3. Brazilia b/c western-hemisphere solidarity?

4-8. All the rest in a close race b/c I'm only mildly interested in them and have to get back to work now...

  1. Kavithan Protectorate: For the Prophet's Work.

[*]Slavic Federation: I like how it's portrayed and the satellite bonus seems good.

[*]Pan-Asian Cooperative: I love production bonuses, just hope it isn't a "+5% toward buildings".

[*]People's African Union: Role-play as Africa, grab a lot of land and resources with their supposed UA, collect a lot of favors...

[*]Brasilia: I guess I should care more about Brasilia, but that bonus is looking very weak.

[*]American Reclamation Corporation: Let's see how useful espionage is and how stronger ARC's spies are. Can easily move up.

[*]Polystralia: I guess I'm just indifferent towards Polystralia and Hutama. Maybe their bonus can change that.

[*]Franco-Iberia: I really don't like Élodie and can't wait to defeat her. The (4?) free techs can wait.
