I wrote a long and soul searching post two days ago about the US use of atomic weapons on Japan. However the server was busy, and it could'nt get posted. What a waste of time...

Your right, Comrade, the United States has the infamous honor of being the only country to nuke people. And I feel that it was a bad decision.

Check out Starlifters posts in "Korea, the Forgotten War", in the History Threads. We all got into a debate about Truman and the poor decisions he made, including nuclear war. Some interesting stuff. And very applicable to this thread.

If I had to vote on which 'nation' would, or could be the next to use nuclear warfare;

I say Pakistan.

Lets say a war breaks out over Kashmir and the Indians really come out fighting, Pakistan could be on the ropes. India is more powerful. If Pakistan was losing really bad, and the world does not do enough to stop it, they could just say 'well, were losing anyway...'

I'm not sure who will be the next to use nukes, but I think the U.S. will be using them on that country shortly after.

Hmmm, i have to say that i can see the USA using a nuke again, one of those mini-ones that have been reportedly built. Probably some timne far in the future when another situation like the current one arises (basically i feel that the Yanks are gonna make a mess of this situation and in future will just take the 'nuke 'em approah')
