Asia Minor

The Hittites have a new King: King Mutwallis II, a very wise and cunning ruler. He decides that that Hatti must expand to be powerful. The less bloody one was a push to the Caspian Sea. The reason it didn’t fail miserably was that the people simply didn’t care. A much bloodier affair though, was the Hatti Invasion of Egypt (See Spotlight). In more pleasant news, a new town called Sinop, situated on the Black Sea, and is now an important port in between Byzantium and Caffa.

(+1 Urban Eco to Hatti/ -100 Hittite Chariots/ -50 Hittite Horsemen/ -400 Axemen/ -50 Spearmen (Mostly due to logistics))

Byzantium can now focus more on trade due to the Fall of Egypt, and has built the city of Caffa. However, less and less Farmers are farming, and the country suffers. The Padic masses continue coming, this time from Egypt and Malta, where Padics are being killed in Egypt’s case, and expelled from Malta.

The Middle East

The Holy War of Caliph Jugan continues as his son Zewat takes the throne. His most important priority is to drive Persia out of the Empire and reclaim Arabia. Both go very well. But the enthusiasm is dying down after the Persian Emperor devotes Royal Funding into rebuilding the Padic Society and after a total defeat at where the rivers of life meet. 2,000 Axemen, 600 Spearmen, and 500 Chariots all lost their lives. The Battle was fought near sea, and an epic was written on how 1000 Persians held ground. So many died, and the sea turned red. No skirmishes have been carried out since the battle.

(-2000 Padic Axemen/ -600 Padic Spearmen/ -500 Padic Chariots/ -1400 Persian Spearmen)

East Asia

The Subcontinent of India does little to change. Mojerno Dojero expand, and Simhala increases her harvest output, but little else is worth noting.

In China, the Huang and the TsingTao have reached an agreement saying Nanjing will go to Huang. It saves the people from war at the present, but the sins of conflict will come. South of That, Xebi Xian continues to have great Agriculture output, and education is at a high

(+Nanjing to Huang/ -100 TsingTao Axemen (Expansion)/ +Education Level to Xebi Xian/ + Agriculture level to Xebi Xian)

Kagubanlanta suffers from lack of leadership, and loses their foothold in Indonesia to natives and Taiwan to Xebi Xian

(-200 Kagubanlantan Spearmen)

Africa

Lake Vittorita is under unified Janjaweed rule, and most people are quite happy. The oppressive government of Uganda is gone, and Janjaweed has a decent harvest now. Less people starve, and confidence is up

(+1 Confidence level)

The old Kingdom of Carthage is gone. After the surrender to Rome, Harabi’s son Huton led a rebel force into Carthage. The Kings own soldiers defected to the Republic, and a new nation with a style similar to some Greek states (Limited Monarchy) was born.

(+The Republic of Carthage/ +1 Confidence/ +1 Culture/ -1 Eco due to Anarchy)

Greece

The Spartans have started the Spartan Military school for boys and girls. Boys will learn the art of War, education and national pride. Women will learn about education, and will be toughened up to be strong mothers. The School is about ¼ complete now.

(+ Progress on Spartan Project)

The balance of power has been tipped in favor of the Dorian alliance, as Rhodes joins her ranks. Sparta builds up her military supplies, and a spy has been found in Athens. War. Will. Come.

Europe

With the Carthagian defeat, the Romans have tried to repel the Celts. A large Roman force crushed the Celts only 4 miles from the walls of Rome. The Celts broke and fled from Rome, and is rumored to be near Capua. The Romans then pushed deep into Celtic territory, and is now threatening their Capital.

(-300 Celtic Axemen/ -200 Roman Spearmen)

In Spain, Rome took some land, but overall, Maltan Raiders overran the outnumbered Roman armies.

(-300 Roman Spearmen/ -400 Roman Horsemen/ -200 Maltan Raiders)

Occupied by the Roman Front, the Celts were much to busy to notice a growing Gaul. Gallic Bowmen hid behind trees, dug trap pits, and generally just kicked butt. The Gallic Bowmen can hit a bulls eye on a target over 100 yards away. This success was not even considered to be capable, and no Celt could survive the onslaught

( -200 Gallic Bowmen/ -700 Celtic Spearmen)

2 threats arise to challenge Gaul. To the East, the Gothic Kingdom of Hanover was started by some Goths, And are bitter enemies of Gaul. To the North, the Kingdom of Mardiva was invaded by Gaul. For 20 years, the Mardivans performed hit and runs, which did pay off. No Gaul was left in Britain.

(-300 Gallic Spearmen/ + Kingdom of Mardiva/ + Kingdom of Hanover)

America

The Huronic Empire is plagued by Iroqouis raids, but expands quite a bit to the north east.

(-300 Axemen)

Spotlight

“If I wish to be remembered, I must conquer.” –King Mutwallis II

King Muttwallis II sat in his chariot, exited, but full of fear. He had an odd complexion, maybe in the future, people will say people have a Muttwallisin complexion. You see, the King was mad. A genius, but mad. He was also very concerned that people knew him, in anyway possible, and that led him to doing stupid things, building statues of himself, ect. But, to be recognized by everyone he needed to do something huge. His campaign to the Caspian sea went horrid due to the rugged terrain, but he did it. But that was nothing. He was putting everything on the line. 1250 troops, including 250 chariots! The 1000 Egyptian Spearmen guarding the pass way looked cocky though. This battle was to control the Levant. Who won would be praised and have epics written in his honor. The Other would be mud.

That day belonged to Muttwallis though. Remember about him being a genius? Yea, while the Hittite Axemen were pummeling the front ranks of the Egyptians, a task force of Hittite spearmen crushed the unprotected backs of the Egyptians. The Chariots could do nothing within the tight space, but there day would come. Outside of Alexandria, a large force of Archers, Axemen, and Spearmen had gathered, but all Muttwallis had to do was simply flank them, and the day was won. Muttwallis got his epic that day: The Death of Muttwallis, which told of his great charge, besting warrior after warrior, only to meet his doom after an unfortunate fall into a spear. Like his fathers chariot crash, black and white birds were seen fleeing the battle as the Hittite troops took control of Alexandria. The Hittite General had good sense to call it quits though, after an enormous force of Pagans killed anything in sight. A kingdom in the south now “rules” but their fate is to be decided not by them, but the growing empire of Hatti.
