Nun Excommunicated

It's really cool how the Bible makes repeated mention of how disgusting homosexuality is, but uh... kinda forgot to mention pedophilia at all.

If you have bothered to read the Bible, which you seem not to have, but the Bible condemns many sexual acts that are outside marriage. Also it is harder to try and describe paedophilia in those times, since people married so much younger than what we do. Also not everything not mentioned in the Bible means that it thus all right to do, since things that were culturally not good, were not needed to be said again.

@Bill3000, what happens if both the mother and baby dies because the birth was hard on both of them, but before that, they could have taken away the life of the baby to save the life of a mother? There are always going to be tricky moral situations where something bad has to happen no matter what the final outcome is going to be. I would rather that the baby dies, since it is possible to have another one.

But this nun did deserve too be removed from her position.

Do you have info indicating he isn't?
No, just don't be quick to judge without all the info.

This is true.

Does it mention pedophilia? Is it that hard for God to describe?

"Thou shalt not lie with child as with adult, it is abomination."

*Phew*, that was hard, I'm all tuckered out now.

It's a good thing God made specific mention of gay sex... repeatedly, but kid sex could be covered under "miscellaneous", cause we all know gay sex is much much worse than adult/child sex. I guess it's kinda like how abortion = AE, but raping a kid = no big whoop.

All what info? I've read several articles on the Brazilian girl and her situation. Your comment seems malapropos.

I guess what offends us is that this nun would be excommunicated while the child-molesting priests would simply be relocated. Excommunication is reserved for the clergy, and the priests are clergy. Is it a question of an old-boy network, like cops not snitching on cops? The male priests protecting each other while at the same time, putting those women in their place? Or is this something different?
