Ah, smalltalk - I can't quite tell whether you are masterfully sarcastic or actually serious. I assume the former, but I'll respond to the latter as it is more fun.
There are two reasons to cease and desist in our destruction of the natural world.
The first argument is that the natural world - the biosphere and its unparalleled diversity - has an intrinsic beauty and value. It exists, it is alive, it is beautiful... what right do we have to destroy it?
Given, however, that humans are prone to selfless behaviour only in the most exceptional of situations, it is fortunate that there is a very selfish reason for humans to preserve the natural environment: Because we are still part of it, and cannot survive without it.
So, to respond:
and
b) we will trample ourselves in the process

Finally, I agree that extinction is a perfectly normal event in the chain of evolution. Humans, on the other hand, are eliminating species in such large numbers that it severly limits the creation of new species in the future.

So, to respond:
a) this is the best argument for fanatical environmental groups I have heard.Nature was created just to be exploited by man. It is a natural right for us humans to trample down everything that is not able to strike back.
and

DNA samples can, in theory, create individual creatures completely out of their natural context. The systems that they are part of allow their survival, and are a great part of what gives them their beauty.Of course we should take DNA samples before finishing them of
