Official BTS Release Date & Box Art

I have home premium, which you can buy here for only $112. Even though it says stuff about it being OEM it works just as fine as the retail version. The one con is that it doesn't have free support, but thats a small price to pay for something that costs half price.

What is "OEM" and what do you mean by "free support".

Awesome. A little later than I'd hoped for, but not much. I'm hoping they do like they did with Conquests and include both. If not, Warlords is out.

It'll work with any version. However, if you want to run Windows in a window while OSX is running, you'll have to get the expensive $400 one (Ultimate). If you don't mind restarting the computer to get into Windows, any version will work. The cheapest (Home Basic), however, has almost the same look as XP.
Thanks for the info, I might try the second cheapest kind.

An OEM version is the stuff large companies such as Dell buy. It has no extra packaging, but it does get the job done well and cheap. As far as I know it installs the same way as the retail version does and I know it is the exact same software.

By "no free support" I mean that if windows Vista starts to act up on you or you can't install it correctly you have to pay to call the Microsoft help line.
OEM versions are the only type of OS versions you should get if you are the least bit competent. Instead of Ultimate costing $400 retail you can get the same thing for $160.

I like it :)

Is there a logistical reason as to why the international date is later than the US date or is it more of a trend/tradition or something? I guess the forums will light up again when it comes out in the US.... hehe, it's gonna be fun :D

Is there a logical reason for why it comes out for PC 6 months (if it even does come out) for mac?!

I noticed in the three Amazon sites linked on the left of the Civfanatics' main page (Amazon.com, Amazon UK and Amazon DE) three different BTS box arts; namely:

In other words, only the Amazon DE site shows the box art with the soldiers, the mechs etc.; in the other sites the box arts have a simply red and black background.
What happens if i'll buy BTS on Amazon UK (Amazon.com ships only within the US) ? Will i receive that ugly red and black box? Unfortunately the price of BTS on the DE site is ALSO more expensive than the other two..

The first two box arts are just placeholders. :) The last one is the final box art.
