Oh Yeah? Khmer a minute! 3D Era-Specific Animated leaderhead for the Khmer

I liked the Ind helmet, too. But problem is that in my effort to make him look more cartoonish, I added a new texture, used a different camera angle, squashed his body a little & didn't save the original settings. I can still re-do the Industrial era, but he wouldn't look quite right.

Sadness! I finally find this rockin' Khmer leaderhead, and the link doesn't work. Could someone either e-mail it to me or fix the link?

PM me for e-mail. :D

Thanks guys, and awesome job on the leaderhead!

Great leaderhead, love the look & style. Fills a vital gap in my mod. Problem with the pcx's, though ... The flics seem to work just fine in game, no worries, but when I go to my Foreign Advisor's screen, I get the Question Mark leaderhead. I've loaded up a number of other leaderheads, and they show up fine in the Foreign Advisor's.

Anyone else have this problem? Again, the flics are fine; it's only the pcx's I'm having trouble with.

edit - I've noticed the background in the J7_all.pcx is magenta, while all the other custom leaderheads out there use black. Could this be the problem?

:hmm: This is the first I've heard of this problem. Is it only happening in the ancient era? You sure there's not an error in the pedia text?

re: background color-shouldn't make a difference, so long as 1 of the last 2 colors in the pallette is magenta. I believe they're magenta & cyan. Look at the .pcx files in the conquest/art/advisor folder. Firaxis used magenta on those. In fact, I just copied the background from Charles V.

Yeah, it's only happening in the Ancient Era ... so far. I just fired up a quick test game and ran a couple of turns to see how things looked. As I said, all is cool until I check the Foreign Advisor's screen. It then shows me a blank leaderhead with a big question mark instead of the guy. Doesn't happen on any of the other leaderheads I've installed tonight.

You're right about the backgrounds - Conquests does, indeed, use the same magenta background. That can't be the problem.

I've checked & double-checked my pediaicons file, but I can't see any mistake. I'll keep playing with it, though.

Anyone else seen this guy show up in-game on the Foreign Advisor's screen?

Well, either A) Rita forgot to change to 256 color for that particular pcx file, or B) You've still got some mistake somewhere in the text file. It can be really hard to spot sometimes. I remember I was pulling my hair out once trying to find a mistake and it ended up being a space at the end of the text or something like that.

Yup, it was a stupid mistake on my part. Used "PRTO" instead of "RACE" in the editor.

My bad; thanx for the support! Again, this is one of the finest fan-made leaderheads out there.

I can't even tell you how many times I made that mistake.
