We're getting there! What about a square planet moving in front of the Green sun?

The only difference is that I think I like the green sun I used better than the ones you and Gogf used. I just googled images for green sun and their were a bunch of them

Not that it makes a lick of difference to me, but....
Doesn't the planet seem disproportionately large? Is it still recognizable in a smaller size? And do you have some white dots you could put in the background?
(I'm just nosy, but nowhere near talented enough to do it myself. Just tell me to buzz off if I'm a nuisance

What filter did you use on the cube to do that, Lyoness?
Your last one was the best, so I added a lens flare to it for final effect.
@Misfit: I just took our sun, and modified the color.
@Sens: Well, considering the avatar maximum, if we made it to scale, it would look aweful. Also, just image you're quite close to the planet, but far from the sun.

actually I started with an "original" earth image, cut out three seperate squares, "Skewed" the top and right squares, then added very small flares to the corners and a thin gradient glow* around the edges. Of course that is the basics, it took a LOT of "playing" with to get it there (I'd say it took me about 1/2 an hour to get just the square the way I wanted it <well almost> ) I'm sure Raijer,the "pro", (we miss you Raijer!) could tell us a rather quick way to do it

Personally, I think that one is the best.
Almost looks as if the planet is the green one, and the cube is the moon.

Remember how I always had problems with PNG compression? Every time I make an avatar, it's posted here for fixing
I haven't made an avatar this time, or not yet anyway, but I would like to have one made from the attached image. It's Frenetic Efreet from MtG: there may be other images online.
