Hello Lyonesse & Gang,

Could you guys also make me a custom avatar, please?

I am really envious of the amazing avatars that you have created here. :worship:

Thanks. But I am not sure. Isn't the face looking distorted. i.e. sqashed longitudinally?

I would say make it transparent. Next the image of Darth Maul is one of a mysterious character don't you think? So his face must not be revealed completely (as in my original image). There must be a lot left to the imagination.

The problem with my original image is that the face is too small and there is too much junk. Also the hallmark of Darth Maul was the lightstick but there is no way I could build that in.

These were my thoughts when I created that avatar.

{I did not want to reveal my ideas first, because I did not want to encumber you with my ideas. After all you guys are the artists not me. :) }

Lastly, do not feel constrained by what my ideas are. Feel free to do anything. I am sure you can come up with a better one.

I must say you guys and gals make some awsome avatars. And it's not only that they are sharp, and look good, but they are so imaginative:)

Do you think it's possible to make something (not fuzzy around the edges the way my avatar is now) with this picture or something else that's fun with SideshowBob.

I chose my user name a bit carelessly and didn't come up with anything at the time being. Maybe I simply should have taken my nickname Bella, but now I'm stuck with SideshowB and I'm getting used to it. Kind of like it, but not my avatar. I havent got any good program to edit images with, and my imagination is rather limited...

Ok RG, here you go:

Sideshow, I guess the first thing we can try is give your av a little transparency, which gives us this:

sideshow.gif

If this doesn't do the trick, we can look for different SSB artwork, and then go from there.

@betazed, I agree with your thoughts about DM, and I'll see what I can do along those lines. Is it possible to upload the original photo that your avatar was taken from? If not, I'll try to fiddle with the avatar itself. Anyway, your input and ideas are most welcome, as this may be "art", but it's more like commercial art in that we're trying to come up with an image that will ultimately please the customer (i.e. you). So, back to the drawing board!

No, not unless the original photo off the web was also squashed..

@Riesstiu IV: we haven't forgotten you, just haven't had a lot of time. I'll try to get to those images tonight, if someone doesn't beat me to it! Promise.
