Onan's Naval GMR game (G&K)

@Banman The English people welcome the opportunity to trade! Will we trade blows, or luxuries? That is your choice.

We heard your threat from distant islands, although it is not directly towards the dutch, mercantilism is live from the beginning. Anyway Dutch welcome all kinds of lux trade, as much as we can!

@LostKnight: Luxuries is the hope of the Byzantines -- we anticipate a major salt surplus ...

@EEE: in G&K, I build a shrine ASAP (as soon as pottery discovered) unless a major reason not to ... haven't empirically tested, but have generally been doing well with a pantheon focused on early economy and a founder belief focused on faith magnification -- means I'm not the first to a religion, but end up with the biggest one ... I generally feel that economic growth is too important to sacrifice early to goose faith growth, would rather goose economic growth early

The Polynesian people just want to take this moment to say 'yo' ...and to tell you all that we are wet, very wet, which makes us cranky, and so, therefore, we are undecided as to whether we should do some kind of war dace tonight, or a love dance for y'alls women.

Sup NWO! Already found everyone heh? :crazyeye:

Do a haka. Sort of a peaceful war dance.

NWO did not found everyone :)

Also, can everyone stop building shrines, I want a pantheon too!

Too late! :p

Greetings to the English, wherever it may be that you've contacted our land or units!

We have excess truffles available to trade. Would you be willing to trade your furs now to secure some truffles? Assuming you will have a second source available. Wines might be okay in the short term, but longer term we should have our own supply.

We too, wonder how we met the great nation of Danemark. Maybe a lookout on a hill spotted one of our mighty Warship?

Unfortunatly, we have only one source of fur, tough the English people have recently started a new industry, using the fiber known as *cotton* to make comfy clothes. Supply will be considered limitless, tough it will take a little time for our industrious people to set up shop.

Cotton will do nicely, as long as you can supply us with some before another option becomes available...but not too much pressure, we have at least two extra truffles to trade.

well met, dutch explorer ... we byzantines have sailed from far away and hope to share trading opportunities (when they arise) with you ...

the great lighthouse is really powerful! :goodjob: Just when the Dutch people start to feel lonely in the far end of the north pole, here comes the Byzantium messenger, who brings the rumor that the lady ruling Constantinople is gorgeous. Will your beautiful empress enjoy some fresh crab meat? We know it looks scary for the first time, but the taste of Dutch crab is really good.

indeed our empress is interested in delicacies of all kinds from the far-flung corners of the globe ... we would be happy to trade lux for lux if that would suit the enterprising dutch :) if memory serves, we have salt, cotton, dye soon to come, or we could spare some iron or horses for the time being ...

Polynesian warrior walked down my continent but without attacking my defenceless units. A 3rd city is settled and no conflict entered during the 3rd phase of the Carthagian ultimate project.

We thank you NWO to these kindly and respectful moves. My other units are busy exploring the world(and ruins). We will gladly trade with you whenever you want. 1 copy of sugar will be ready in 5-6 turns.

I entered a golden age at turn 32, already filled my happiness bucket. This golden age will end soon but not without any helpful gold to buy some important water tiles.

Now let's go back exploring! :goodjob:

The English representative humbly ask the danish representative to not worry. Arrangement has been made and a trade will be offered as soon as the sun shine on our lands again.

(OCC: Next turn) :P

3rd city and filling happiness bucket? OMG, did you neglect sailing and writing in favour of lux tech?

Not sure how this happened seriously...i just finished writing but got optics some turns ago. I still doesn't have calendar(i have some sugars) but i think i'm researching it presently.

I did get a culture ruin before turn 5 and got monarchy pretty fast tho.

I'm at +8 happiness right now but was over 10 for a long period of time.
