Onan's Speed-Optimized GMR Game

Their leader has asked us to take the last two remaining Aztec cities, to end their people's sadness.

Hurray for this! No peace needed...i will DoW everyone if needed to put this an end(and to start another gmr game :goodjob:)

Do you have any good idea for the new GMR game? I have a peaceful type of victory condition setting in mind but not seems to have enough interest .:mischief: Sorry Onan for hijacking your Speed thread.

I agree that the games are gearing towards wars too much, so I was theorizing settings that can give us the most fun with other victory types possible. This may also be a great GMR game if the turn timer is too quick for micromanagement. Here are the settings.

Map: All players on the same continent
Size: standard for 6 players. Large for 8 players. Larger map will reduce the effectiveness of war.
CS: 16 for 6 players. 20 for 8 players
Victory conditions: Culture, Diplomatic, Science only
Civ choices: Pick, or pick then random assign.

SPECIAL RULE: no city taking. So only war of pillage and war of parking are allowed.

What do you guys think of the settings? Any comments?

I recommend trading your southern city to the Chinese / green Russians. Your capital of course will need to be taken by force. Songhai I'm sure will oblige, for their extra cash bonus.

I will check this out when i can.

This can be faster than we think...all i need is to sell a city to another country and let tha AI decide Monty's fate :goodjob:

Of course, the northern city should go to the yellow Russians, eventually.

That's fine DOW me and I will give the northern city to the Russians. Need to move my forces from the Egyptian border anyway!

Also I will play the "peaceful" game if you like EEE.

Why the peaceful has " " mark? Peaceful until someone is about to win?

Peace is to the best interest of Egypt. Egypt has no intention to war with any civ at all, just bully CS to compensate for the lack of terrain. but we will prepare to defend in any case with large cash deposit and occasionally clearing military techs.

I think he was talking about the new GMR game you're talking about starting. :)

I will move my forces in on the Aztecs. The peace treaty should be up soon. It might take me a few turns, the Russian armies are cleaning up barbarian camps.

Perfect! I will give my city to the green people and wait for you.

Rome still has a decent force in the area, if support would be expeditious. Just let us know the timing. :)

As the new capital, I think this city will not be tradeable once captured, right? So we'd better let the Russians take care of it.

Congrats to Nullmaster on your new city, and a feeling of justice. ;)

And it's a quite good and productive city. As a gift, he keeps all buildings i made.

To Onan: hey man, it's the 2nd time I got beaten the wonder ON THE SAME TURN I should get it as well. Speaking of luck......

Very gracious of you to have left everything intact. :goodjob:

Well, if it's any consolation, it wasn't an engineer this time. :p

What can I say? Sometimes when you go all out science first, your production tends to suffer. ;)

Yeah I had Angor Wat this turn also. I guess its payback for the Pyramids. Money in the bank I suppose. :(
