Open saved games as maps?

Before buying Civ 2 Gold, I owned Civ 2. Then I had the possibility of oppening saved games from the map editor. Now with MGE this doesn't work anymore!

Anyone can help?

Why don't you want to use the "real" game to open your sav insted of the Map Editor?

I don't have any trouble doing that. Did you mean you couldn't load saved games onto the map editor across versions or what?

Sorry sorry....

I meant opening saved games from the map editor not to play the game but to have the map I was playing on and then save it as a map.

Yeah, that's what I thought you meant. I don't have any trouble doing that.

I thing there is a topic here that explains how to do it.

What your probably doing wrong is not typing *.* as the file name and then pressing enter. This will list all the files and not just the map files. Just open the .sav and it should be fine. .scn don't work though.
