What file should I edit if I have a Mac?

1. Open the finder and go to Applications

2. Right click on Opera and choose "Show package contents"

3. Navigate to Contents > Resources and find a folder called en.lproj inside the Opera package

4. Copy the search.ini inside en.lproj and put it into the Opera preferences folder (Opera automatically uses a search.ini that is placed here, thus you won't loose any changes it you update the Opera program package)

5. Make your changes

6. Save the search.ini and restart Opera

Should work, though I've never used Opera for Mac...

Wasn't Opera always Ad-free? Not that I have ever tried it, I am a Firefox fan, and besides, I am not sure how to change Firefox to anything else in Linux.

I guess I have Firefox in stupid old windows, not that I ever log into Windows anymore.

no before i registered it it had ads in the top right..... but hey its free im all for that like white on rice!
