Optimization Revealed

Why would there be no swine flu? People who have weak immune systems or don't wash their hands regularly are suboptimal.

Has anyone brought up Gattaca?

Anyway, Dharma pwns optimality or whatever.

Why don't the mods just permban trolling douches? The boards would be much cleaner without certain people.

Maybe pork is sub-optimal? :dunno:

Optimization will give me a pretty blue and red sky?

Perhaps if instated a few years back, the slum would be eliminated and true progress initiated, we might be moving forward to a true form of government.

Nope, that's a suboptimal sky.

Well that was a generality, I found it moderately pleasing. Once we eliminated the weak and useless I suppose a consensus would have been taken on the Optimal skyline.

And most people still choose to be free.

And most choose to do their own thing, die their own way, bringing down hundreds if not thousand of themselves down with them. Unregulated, unrestricted, " I do what I want mentality **** the rest of the world." Again it degrades down to who has the balls to sas stop it. Enjoy your freedoms that destroy the rest of the world. Eventually your offspring will die because of your descisions.

Why don't the mods just permban trolling douches? The boards would be much cleaner without certain people.

Clearly no insightful input has been produced from this expense of calorie expenditure and hand eye coordination. Thus it would entirely be obliterated from an Optimal standpoint. Not to mention the Author would have been obliterated to reserve bio-chemical reserves for those that actually intend to submit a semi-legitimate argument to the conversation.

A supreme way of demonstrating the need for Optimization at least on a bio-chemical level. Bravo on your voluntary admittance to the gene pool elimination project. Bravo.

So Chaz how would we adjudicate disagreements as to what is or is not optimal? Suppose there is some decision, and about 50% of people think X is the optimal course of action, and about 50% of people think Y is the optimal course of action, and there are no other possible courses of action. What then?

Who decides who we are - that is the selectors of the aforementioned weak and useless? Do we decide? In that case do we need to decide? Or do we even want to decide? Or what happens if those who decide are weak and suboptimal?

You defined k but forgot to use it anywhere.

Guys, if you'd read the thread, you'd know that Chaz has already answered all these questions with the very informative: "I don't know what direction Optimization will take." Apparently if we kill everyone, everything will just magically fall into place.

Chazumi forgot to even use actual math that is used for optimization. :(

What? Surely it'll take the optimal direction. You can probably figure that out using the equations!

Apparently if we kill everyone, everything will just magically fall into place.

Ah, just like killing your wife fixes your marriage.
