Hello all,

I've recently discovered FFH2 and am loving it. I've tried FF, FF+ and Orbis, and have decided that I enjoy Orbis's take on things the best. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a way to get FlavourMod to work with it. I've tried googling to no effect. So is it possible? I haven't played without FlavourMod ticked until Orbis and it get's frustrating having to restart once a map is loaded because I'm Hippus in the middle of an ice field or Malakim without a speck of desert to be seen.

Any help or knowledge would be appreciated!

So I only just posted this, went into Orbis, created a game. Decided to take a peek through Worldbuilder to see what it would be like... There's Ljsolfar in the middle of the desert and Malakim in the icy mountains D:

Please tell me that I can get FlavourMod into Orbis, it *needs* it!

Actually, Orbis contains FlavourMod. Ahwaric set the option to be always on, and invisible, so you can't see it when making a custom game... But it's there.

The only thing I can think of for your starts... Did you run a 'Play Now!' game first? FF, FF+, and Orbis all have different numbers of gameoptions. Switching between the mods will cause saved game options to shift, which could result in Flavourmod accidentally being turned off. Running a quickplay game wipes saved options, so you should always run one after switching between mods... Even if you exit as soon as the map loads.

Ahh I did go into the "Play Now!" section as the instructions told me after I installed it but it said I didn't have to start an actual game with it. I'll go actually start a play now game and see if that fixes it, cause it's definitely not on at the moment... Ljsolfar in the desert... *cry*

Thanks heaps for the reply Valkrionn, I'll go give it a shot now.

That fixed it! Thanks a heap for that, I wish the instructions hadn't specifically said that I didn't need to start a game to refresh the settings otherwise I would have tried that :)

You're a champ Valkrionn... By the way, FF+ is awesome, I've been playing it for a few months now and it (in my mind) was an improvement on FFH2 and FF in every way... (Love those Fort Commanders!!) ... Just wanted to say I appreciate your work ;)

I think if I could take the civ's and dark feel (and dark tileset) of FF+ and roll it together with the tech tree of Orbis, I would be in mod-heaven :)

Alas until that day comes I will have to just rotate between playing FF+ and Orbis, lol :)

I think the cycle will go somewhat like this: Play FF+ until get frustrated with the zillions and zillions of barbarian units that zerg around everywhere, switch to Orbis, play Orbis until I miss the dark rugged feel of FF+, switch back to FF+ .... rinse, repeat :)
