No, you're right, I tested it in shadow and it did not work, sadly.
Anyway I always thought you had to capture a wolf, and then bring him to a goblin so as to create a worg rider.

I don't really matter, I do not use goblins...
 
why would orcs be dumb ??

I am not sure of the FfH lore on them but they are just green-skin semi-barbs That doesn't mean that they cannot overthown the world into chaos... or that they can't launch spell or pray gods, orr even build wonders...

an exemple for me is the book rhapsody : there are simily-orcs. they are barbaric and stupid to the outside. in fact they just need a leader to make them a powerful civ. and FfH orcs have those leaders !!! (the orcs that don't follow the leaders are the barbs... the orcs that are not barbs can maybe do wonderful things :))
 
I wouldn't say the FfH orcs have to be dumb. They are just disorganized and uneducated. Jonas seem to be a fairly intelligent being, and their hero, Rantine, seem even smarter.
 
Are there Wolfriders in 0.30? I haven't seen one.
 
I think they are still there, but unfourtunately you can't get them by defeating a wolf with a golblin anymore.

(I guess this could have changed recently, since one patch did replace most of the Clan's mounted unit with Ogres. I haven't actually played since .30a, and only briefly then because my computer broke and the installer won't work on my home PC for some reason. My laptop works now but it had its hardrive replaced, so I don't have the dame on it yet. Vanilla civ isn't working yet, not is the BtS installation. I think I need to patch vanilla in order for BtS to work, but I'd rather wait until I go back to college Sunday than try to download over dialup)
 
I just tested for wolf riders (morphed from a goblin killing a wolf) in .30f, and sadly, it didn't work. I don't see it in the changelog for .31 either. Maybe the idea has been dumped?
 
I really think that the anti-racial promotions should comw back, but they shouldn't be availible except though random events. I'm thinking a relatively common event that grant the anti-racial promotion to a unit that has already killed a unit with that promotion, and a much rarer random event requiring war against a civ of that race and/or at least one unit with said anti-racial promotion that allows you to give that promotion to all units of a certain unitclass, unitcombat, or even to all of your units (probably for a price). They could add Angel-, Demon-, and Golem-slaying promotions too, but the events would be quite rare.

I like this idea, but it would be cool if losing a unit to an enemy of that race had a chance of triggering the event. It would be kind of like a vendetta that one of your units has against the race that killed another unit.

Nice. I think the event should definitely require that you have had combat with a unit of that race, but the result of that combat isn't to important.
