This is where we get our team organised:)

I had a chat with Whomp last week about this but here is my idea.
We have 5 main threads;

1.Turnplayer- Basically the turnplayer Posts screenshots and descriptions of actions taken that turn

2.Domestic - Planned Builds, City Placements, worker actions ect.

3.Foreign - Past/Present relations with others, deals in place, Deal we want to make ect.

4.Micro Management- MM actions to be taken ect.

5.Military - Stetegies, Troop movements, placements ect.

No discussions are to take place in these threads, they are there to post agreed actions/planning so everyone can find the relevant info quickly and easily, particularly turnplayers and diplomats. This way the chances of confusion and mistakes are reduced.
We sticky these 5 at the top.

Discussions take place in other threads were we can give ideas ect or just have fun, then when we reach an agreement we put it into the relavent thread.

Apart from that i don't think we need elections ect, from my experience in the last c3c mtdg and the civ4 one people who what a job will get it, its not like there is hundreds of people in the team.

And most of all, win, lose or draw we should aim to have fun:D , but i do find winning helps it be more fun;)

Any other idea's, tell us:)

I'm not sure how making seperate treads of decisions would work out; they'd be stale and prompt to dying. I liked the one tread decision thingy we had last time in KISS - and then one tread for each of the aforementionned where discussions do take place.

So definitely 5 main treads, but then 5 active discussion treads, and one for the conciliation is what I propose.

People will go for what they feel comfortable and fun, so assigning people to some places and such doesn't seem like a winning formula indeed - agreed on that.

I don't think that's what Robi D was suggesting. The 5 threads would be for things we'd already discussed and made decisions upon in other threads...just a summary where people, especially brand new members, could find information without wading through long discussions. We might even wind up with more than 5 if some other area was needed.

It sounds a lot like what KISS used as "Department of xxxxxx" in the last game, but with less conversation.

btw, do we members have assigned roles? I wouldn't mind being a turnplayer

i think basically when we get a save we'll just see what happens and who want to play some turns :)

Since we're an anarchy, we don't exactly have official "elected" positions, but everybody does what they're best at. I'd defininately say that would be turnplayer for you!!! In fact, I suspect we're all counting on it. :D

don't count on that too much. Might be a let down :mischief:

Anyway, I am too new at this, since we play by turn, it will be pretty slow, isn't it?

depends really, if you look at the civ4 mtdg we have the same amount of teams and are approaching the 100 turn mark after a few months.

i suppose its how you jedge slow :)

In general there's a few players who step up and play turns regularly; I play the occasionnal turn when duty calls, as most here are at least as good, and better informed about the situation, than I am.

I just saw that Greebley has been invited here as well, seems like some strong turnplayers in here...

Personally, the one thing I'd like to see is a smooth transition between turnplayers. 10-20 turns at a time with a very detailed log on mm'ing and so forth. I know Tubby will bust out his spreadsheets too.

One of our strengths should be turnplay with Wotan, Ynnek, ThERat and Greebley.

I don't think we should limit who can take turns but let's make sure anyone who does has a very solid plan to follow.

I agree! We're very blessed with some good players, and also with Whomp, our diplomat extrordinaire.

I didn't mean to leave anyone out. I'm less familiar with some folks' strengths than others. Me? I'm just head cheerleader and cookie baker. :p

I'm happy with 5 threads for decisions so everyone can look up where we are at and 5 for discussions sounds good to me, tht way you don't have to go through pages of discussions to find what the decision was.

As for roles people play, i wouldn't want people to be assigned, people can volenteer for what htey want to do.

As for me i'm happy to give a hand with foreign relations and throw my 2 cents worth with other things. I will play a turn or two if there is no one else. Do expect to much from me in advice on MMing, thats not really my expertise;)

If we discuss things very well in detail that it probably doesn't matter who will play the turn then. But I guess Reality might prove that wrong. Anyway, we're an Anarchy so we can't get the bonus from irrigation...ahem no, I wanted to say, let's see who has the time to play, log and MM carefully. I don't mind playing some turns but I guess it is better if there are at least more than 2 people playing the turns.

I could take the early turns for ease of spreadsheet-dom.

booo organization... booo

I did like the way that MIA did their discussion threads... ig: Turns 1-20, Turns 21-40. That way there is a definate transition and things could be found a little quicker than the 1000+ post threads that we had in KISS

Organized anarchy is like the good cholestorol.
It's the voting, politics, team law, offices and some such nonsense that's the transfatty bad cholesterol.
