I really can't believe nobody did this one before. But this is hard reality - there was no oriental themed worker up until now! Well, there is one now - I've made the little fella for Total Realism Mod, but you can use him anywhere, in your own mod or even in your own garden, if you manage to get him out from behind the screen, and he will work on a cup of rice a day! :D

Download a hard-working guy!

It looks great! An Asian peasant! It's a surprise this unit has gone unmade for so long. To be truly realistic, these guys should exist in some countries well into the modern age...

Just a thought, did anyone ever do a European serf/worker? This would also be a great low wage fellow to have around…

Hey, this is pretty nifty!

Now, I can't remember what happens, but when a unique worker is captured, does it just revert to a worker that can be used by that civ? So if India captures another civ's workers, do they become Fast Workers? And is the reverse also true? Or are they just destroyed?

Total Realism Mod already uses several different workers (reskins) - and I've never seen workers destroyed. I can't say if they are captured as original workers or the capturing civ's workers, though - but I'd bet on the latter.

Nice start. To make it truly realistic, an asian worker should be or barefoot, or wearing clumbs. And of course, do not forget the inevitable "pajama's". ;)

You're probably right about his sandals - I tried to do this guy very generic, so that he can be used for Vietnam too, for example, so bare feet are IMO better than clumbs. And I recall that most of the time Orienal peasants wore minimal clothing while at work - no more than a loincloth.

Well, just as long as workers would still be capturable when taking unique ones, I don't really care whether they stay the same or change.

Indian Fast Workers become normal workers when captured and unique workers change their looks, they do not care who is exploiting them.

And they also instantaneously learn the language of the capturing civ (clever fellows these peasants) :mischief:
