Oval 6 player FFA

I can do a 90 minute session on Wednesday. Thursday I can play also. Other days later in the week should be possible as well.

Looks like if it works for zalta, Wednesday should work?

Wednesday is fine with me.

Sorry guys, I tried accessing the forums yesterday but they were always busy and forgot to try again for the umpteenth time. But Wednesday should work for me as well.

Yes same, Wednesday works for me (Tuesday in real time!) I don't think the forums were up yesterday.

Looking forward to continuing our game in a little less than 26 hours! :D

The Egyptians continued their path of inevitable decline from their Golden Age after being boxed into a small northern corner of the world. Seeing a land of tundra and ice, the Egyptian people decided that the city of القاهرة could be built to take advantage of the ice fishing possibilities. They continued their warm relations with the Roman people and were indifferent to the French and Ottomans on their borders.

Though they distrusted the Greeks, they had no reason to hate them so they continued to keep aloof while marveling at the many wonders of the world that the Greek people built. In the spirit of friendship, Egypt opened it's borders to the wandering tribes of Indians and welcomed them with open arms to admire the hovels and slums of the largest city in the world.

The Egyptians anticipate that a mighty renaissance must occur before the balance of power changes in this world.

About four hours away. :D

France has continued to enjoy peaceful relations with her neighbors, and our people are enjoying the Wonders our Great Leader has ordered us to build: Oracle, Chichen Itza, and Stonehenge. Hopefully our people will not let our luxuries, trade, and wonders go to our heads...mostly we sit around being happy all day.

Other wonders in the world include (not sure if this is all of them):

Greece: Pyramids, Notre Dame, and Hanging Gardens
Islandia: Great Library, Hagia Sophia
zalta: Great Wall (good option for piggie in the middle)
Brenador: Colossus
EEE: Great Lighthouse

This game is balanced that we had a pair of Chariots Archor UUs, a pair of classical era power houses, and a pair of renaissance era gunpowder UUs. Interesting!

Now the first pair is in warm friendship, the second pair has fought a meaningless war and now realised that they should be friendly to each other. The third pair is probably thinking that they should be squeezing their neighbours a bit together. Wonder who will lay a hand for help? In the next episode of FFA...

See ya in less than 4 hours :)

I hope we can play another session Saturday before we change hour time(going to be at midnight/3am for occidental players for next 2 weeks).

Edit : Wars between Romans and Greeks didn't affect much the world composition but Greeks have found a way to get enough production to build units/infrastructures/wonders at the same time thanks to their really productive capital and their 6 cities. Greece will not be as patient as they want if Romans continue their little game...:trouble:

Interesting analysis, I hadn't thought about the UUs and eras. Hmmnn, you're right, Janissaries and Musketeers would make a nice tag-team! :scan:

I'm looking forward to the Janissaries and Musketeers.

So, hopefully that will be our shortest session ever...17 turns!

The only events I remember we're a minor attack on Brussels by Egypt, and Greece adding two more impressive wonders to its list: Porcelain Tower and Macchu Pichu.

All good for a short session tomorrow?

Correction : 1 more (impressive)wonder only.

Sure!

Very little information can be divulged from the Roman empire. The regime is currently undergoing a drastic leadership upheaval towards a military junta under the leadership of Il Duce Houdini after a failed war effort by the previous emperor Lagtimus, perceived "too soft" by the people. All borders are tightly monitored and anyone not cheering loud enough for the new regime is subject to involuntary labour.

The Free Roman press will attempt to keep the other nations informed nonetheless.

Viva the Free Roman press! The Egyptians see the gathering storm clouds on the horizon with the advent of gunpowder in the world. It looks like the long era of peace may be over as the western nations start flexing their military might.

Sure!

Um, so what you're saying is only one of those two wonders is impressive?

French citizens are bemused at how an ancient Indian report on the nature of our world, including soothsayer visions, has led most of the world to expect an aggressive Western Alliance, fearing magical troops which don't exist. :crazyeye:

The Roman Free Press can always seek support in progressive France. However, we will refrain from creating Radio Free Rome, in an effort to appease your Great Leader. NapOnan supports His Supreme Highness's right and grave duty to defend his great nation's borders against any external threat.

It's not the ancient Indian report that has me fearing the western alliance, it's the Ottoman troops lined up along my western border!

The NapOnan title is really funny lol.

The Egyptian press is clearly making up story about western threat to cover up their leader's bully on small CS neighbours. Howerever, Ghandi chose to be blind on this matter for the sake of friendship:)

Hmn, hopefully no news from zalta is good news. He should be asleep by now...hopefully he got his assignment done and turned in early! See you guys in a few.
