Own3 Revenge of Own1

AGR is VERY GOOD for about everything. More people = more shields = more units. Militaristic would be nice, though, but no MIL civ has a good AA UU. Neither the Jag Warrior nor the Legionairy is top notch.

We could try China. But personally I'd stick with the Iros.

I generated 5 starts :

First one is Rome
Second is one Spain
Third is India

Fourth is China
Fifth is Iros

This is not my preferred list, just set to random for choosing the civ. I could do some more if requested.
It is a huge world and we will have some time before first contact, so we should be able to handle the first civ. Everybody will be in settle-mode, so there will not be much military around. It is not AW, so we do not have to fear the second civ.

Rome has a quality start that only lacks food. But I don't like them.

Spain is far away from being a useful civ for our purposes. Ridiculously weak UU, only strong at pillaging.

I played India to often.

China has a start we should not even think of using.

I'd simply stay with the Iros. AGR is usefull for every playing style, including all out war. More food = more citizen = more shields = more units. Com is something discussable.

I think it'd be better if we first choose a civ collectively and then generate starts.

I don't want to play a civ because it simply got a better start than another, more favorable one.

Personally I'd stick with the Iros or, if that is out of choice, China.

Guys, I am on a business trip from tomorrow to 28th July, so if you want a start which I generated we will have to wait unitl my return as my starts are on my home PC. If you start another one I have my notebook and game CD with me, so I will be able to play. I have plenty of time in the evenings.

I'm out. No interest in playing the Dutch here. Good start, but no warmongering traits and no offensive UU. As I said, I'd rather reroll starts with a civ of choice instead of choosing a civ that doesn't fit the goal just because of a good start.
