Own3 Revenge of Own1

I think start 2 was a good choice. I played 20 turns. We have barracks, 2 workers, 1 reg warrior and 1 vet archer. On the last turn Spain appeared and we have our first war. So now we can explore the surroundings. Maybe the next player can switch to an archer, but Spain does not have WC, so all she can send are warriors. Looks quite ok. Here is a picture :

Put me at the end of this list please. I'm going on vacation at the weekend and won't be able to play before monday.

3050 BC- 3050 BC!?!
3000 BC- Spain warrior forts
2950 BC-
2900 BC- Rome settler -> archer
nothing happened til Spain got two warriors 2 W of Rome

The archer/settler are going to found on spot, on the hill near the wines, stock on archers in Rome and try to shift the tide.

Almost died, thrice. I have been building too many settlers and not enough military. I hope nobody makes that stupid mistake again. Two cities newly built got razed. We shouldn't give up though, could make a great comeback, which would be fun.

Yep, I didn't see Own's save, so I still thought he was up. I Will play tomorrow, but with 60 shields/2 settlers gone for good I don't think this will be lasting long.

In 2030 we meet an american warrior coming from the north, so AMERICA will be second on the list. They are ahead four techs.

In 1950 I found Cumae on the ruins of an older roman settlement.

In 1910 I spot spanish borders west by northwest.

In 1790 I found Neapolis south Roem, able to work the wheat on the flood plain and a BG, later more.

In 1750 We learn of the secrets of bronze working, starting to research iron working at 90%.

In 1725 all looks pretty good. We had a slow start due to losing two settlers, but our immediate surroundings hold the greatest of land. With capturing the spanish cities we will quickly recover from our lack of research and size.

THE SAVE

0- looks A OK
1- meet America (if we haven't already), up almost everything
IBT: lose elte archer
2- (turn 4?!) Rome riots, :spank:
5- (3) Cumae riots , kill Psainish archer, two more pop up
7- Holy crap! Both Spainish archers die! ELite archer!
10- another riot... (yeah, I suck at checking for riots... my CAII's 'broken')

Looking for possible riots is basics, especially that early in the game. You are not playing alone.
