... May I interupt this transmission to ask if 'the roster' feels that they would prefer
- (a.) shorter rounds (fewer turn per round), or
- (b.) two weeks to play 40 turns, or
- (c.) neither (a.) nor (b.), or
We will be looking for the least successful submission next, and I am not sure if everyone will beat this game in 40 turns from 1650AD - regardless of who's is deemed the most successful submission in the current round. It's my guess that following the next round - unless things go really horribly wrong, we could be looking at victory provided we continue to play 40 turn sets.
- (d.) both (a.) and (b.) but not (c.)?
We return you to your regular programming ...
My intuition about my game seems to be supported by the numbers. I have the largest military count and am 3 turns away from crippling the only legitimate threat. Tech is irrelevant imo at this point. Only rifling is necessary for drafted troops to make the final push quickly. Frankly, it may be possible to roll over the remaining civs with the troops I have
Anyways, I'll stop playing the politician now and will bow to majority opinion. I just hope whatever game we take that the focus from now on will be solely on razing and vassalizing, starting with the most powerful...This is surely the path to quickest conquest victory...

we went for (b), let's stick with it.
What happens if any of us win in this "trash round"?
I was under the belief that a win stops the game, even in the trash round, am I right?
well, winning in the trash round would require every player winning...unlikely imo![]()
I will vote right away...
Next Turnset - Duration
If you guys think that we can win in the next 40 turns (1820AD), then we'll just throw it open and give an imaginaryto the fastest win. I personally think it's 'less likely' than 'likely', but 'Lord knows' that I've been wrong before!
