I'm entirely familiar with false claiming before the real claimant has a chance to speak.

As has been my pattern recently, my instinct is not to trust the first claimant. Seeing as no one but Backwards Logic is opposing this bandwagon, I choose not to support it.

And, another one bites the dust. But it's not over yet. One of the remaining players is still a mafia.

Why one, when that would leave an odd number of innocent players? Because I know about the existence of one more special, innocent-side role. Thus, there is either one mafia remaining, or two and another secret role, which seems kind of ridiculous.

So who is it? Well, let's take a look at that vote tally:

Backwards Logic (4): Choxorn, Skwink, Gamezrule, Mechaerik,
Choxorn (2): Backwards Logic, ATPG
Not voting: Turquoiside

It could feasibly be a lurker-scum Turq, but he doesn't seem to care about the game. If he wanted to appear innocent next round by not voting me, he probably would have voted for BL, both making himself look more innocent and casting some more doubt on others. But he didn't, so him being a lurker is more likely. It could be one of the people who voted for BL, but why do that when they could easily vote me and either tie up the vote or put me in the lead when they voted, and not even look that scummy doing so? Besides, if Turq is a true inactive, winning today's vote would make it two mafia, two innocents, and Turq the next day, a position they could easily win from.

I conclude that the one most likely to be the last mafia is askthepizzaguy. It makes the most sense by far. I might be wrong, but he should be lynched tomorrow.

Impressive that you were able to produce all of that from one day. Extremely.
It's highly unlikely they'd have it easy if you had been lynched today. BL would easily have been lynched the next day, and who's to say I'd be the lynch target at the final three?

I'll say this much: If either of us survive this night phase, your my first pick for last mafia.

Yes, I'm the last mafia. BL and I pretended to roleblock each other so we'd both get lynched as part of our diabolical plan to win. You caught us.

My point is that the mafia would be more likely to vote for me than BL in this situation, just because 2 mafia vs. 3 innocents is way better for them tomorrow than 1 mafia vs. 4 innocents, even if BL is known to be one of the 2 mafia in the first scenario. True, Backwards would still be lynched tomorrow, but buying an extra day would make it much easier for the mafia to win.

Yes, it's a lot to conclude from one day's lynches and nothing else. Lynches late in the game, and close lynches in general, tell us way more than earlier, more lopsided lynches.

I posted a vote on choxorn and nobody made a move to lynch him besides Backwards Logic; as such the mafia were absolutely panicked by the roleblock and were on board with bussing BL. They probably did it ASAP.

Choxorn, you know just as well as anyone else how *I* play as mafia, which is to distance myself from my partner. I would not, ever, try to spare him in a situation where the vote had already been decided.

Roleblock me tonight.

I'd say if it's not you, it's probably mechaerik, simply because of when and how he voted. And lucky guess on DaveShack on day 1 my foot. Any mafia could do that.

But heck, what do I know.

Choxorn, do not underestimate yourself or your judgment. Everyone gets it wrong, and everyone gets it right at least sometimes. You don't win games if you don't believe that you can win them. Some folks (me) believe in themselves so much that others start to believe it and give them several chances to get it right, which adds to the illusion they know what they're talking about.

Just take your best shot and congratulate whoever wins. And have fun for gosh sakes.
