Palmyra, Collab Mod

UA: Pearl of the Desert
Trade units ending their turn in your territory gives a Production (or Culture) boost to the nearest city and each Great Tile Improvement speeds up city Border Expansion.

UU: Clibanarii (replaces the Horseman)
Stronger and more expensive than the Horseman it replaces, the Clibanarii yields +1 Culture per level per turn spend in foreign territory and provides a sum of Great People Points dependent on it's level when killed or upgraded.

UI: Tomb/Funerary Tower (Available at Construction)
May only be built on desert tiles and may not be built adjacent to another Tomb/Funerary Tower. Yields +2 Faith per turn. It may be built instantly on tiles adjacent to Great Tile Improvements. Gain Faith upon expending a Great Person for every Funerary Tower. +1 Culture upon researching Archaeology.

This was the one we were working with IIRC. Danmasch made it, but the UI had its ability changed a bit to fit better with the rest of the civ.

Maybe Funerary Tower's could provide additional faith if a trade route crosses over the tile?

Also how much faith per/tower when expending Great People?

Depending on the map, it can be really hard to get trade routes to go over the tile you want.

The amount of faith/tower would get worked out in testing, I imagine.

Its been a good month since i was busy, so i'm actually up for continuing this now. Its good to see some more interest. The whole thing froze on the lack of UI model and my leaderscreen not being to a high-enough quality (apparently).

Does that potential UI model work for you?

Yeah it does. I'll take anything that looks remoteley like a middle eastern tower by this point.

This was my last attempt at a leaderscreen. How can i improve it?

Hands definitely need work. I think it looks fine otherwise.

I just screwed up and saved it as a PNG instead of a PSD, so now its a hell of a lot harder to edit. :(

I swear to....

Ok, for those who don't know, I didn't want to use TPangolins for multiple reasons.
1. Zenobia looked nothing like how Zenobia would of looked.
2. It was so obviously a roman city.
3. It was a copy and pasted Assassins Creed character
4. I wanted to try my hand at my own leaderscreen.

Maybe it's just me, but the background looks a little too fuzzy/blurry.

Since it's been a while since this thread got an activity, how about adding this to the UA: "Flat, resourceless desert tiles within 2 tiles of a city have a chance to become Oases"? It'd be a one time chance when you settle/capture the city. Once again, I can make the lua for this if that's holding up production in any way.

I tried something like that once, but the oases were invisible. Experiment anyway, you might get them to show up after all :)

Not sure, tbh I don't think so, in the same way JFD was unable to find the Krakatoa & Great Barrier Reef graphics. Referring to those graphics would only get you some effects. Might be the same with the Oasis.
