Piedmont has fallen. If you join our nation, as a province on equal status with Naples and Sicily, you would be put under our protection. Naples would then devote every resource to make sure you are spared the horrors of the war-torn north. However, if you refuse this kind offer, we will not make a single effort at protecting you.
We are trying to rebuild the glory of Italy. Are you with us, or are you against us?

We would appreciate an assurence that, if Sardinia joins us out of free will, you will not get involved. North Italy is not our buisness, and we understand that. But, similarly, we would appreciate it if your great nation would make a statement saying that Sardinia, if it joins us of its free will, is our domain. Also, we do not want to become a part of the war that is engulfing Europe. We would like a five turn NAP signed by you and all of your dependant states. (Also, if you have changed your mind about the sale of Tuscany, we are still willing to purchase it. But, if you wish to retain said possesion, we will make no enrochment on your territory.

What happens in North Italy is a part of your war, and we do not want to become involved. However, we would appreciate a statement from your government that if Sardinia joins us of its free will, you will not invade it, and, concurently, you will not invade our nation. If Sardinia does not join us of its free will, you can do what you want with the island. We would also like a five turn NAP.
