So I want to get Eu3 instead of Vicky?
How easy is eu3 to learn because lots of people said hoi2 was difficult to learn but I just jumped In as america my first game and granted I made mistakes(joined the allies in1939) but Is eu3 easier harder to Learn then hoi??

And btw thanks I just looked up calvin and Hobbes and I saw that pcture I thought it was funny so why not :P

I think EU III is easier, I mean, I have HoI 3 but I still really haven't played it because I couldn't do anything, but I learned EU III more easily. Maybe it's just me though?

You might want to test out EU III on your PC first since it has some 3d too. It's not just 2d.

EU3 is probably their easiest-to-learn game, though the learning curve is still pretty steep. The trickiest thing to get your head around is the monthly vs yearly income and inflation, but once you get that it's plain sailing. And whereas there are only a limited number of countries in HoI that are realistically fun to play, and you're pushed into world events, you're not nearly so hamstrung in your choices in EU3, and there's choices for every difficulty level - so you can start off as Castille or France and jump straight in and you'll probably do just fine.

I have just purchased HoI3 and I will try it out when 1.4 patch is released.

My computer officialy sucks I can't play the eu3 demo because
it needs pixelshader 2.or higher
to run

Why is it so hard to pre-download patches ... for HoI3 ... you go to the Official Site and it arrogantly says this
Patches
A patch is never late! Nor is it ever early. It arrives precisely when I mean it to do.

I just bought HoI3 from Gamestop, I've tried playing it a few times on 2 computers and both had an error while trying to open the game. Any suggestions before I have to drive back out?

I try to run the game, it loads until about the third image, then has a standard windows error message. It will also not uninstall, having a "catastrophic error”

Sounds like the download might be corrupt. Try downloading again and re-installing.

To manually uninstall (for Vista) go to C drive, Program Files x86, find your game (it may be under the publisher's folder) and drag that into the recycle bin. Empty recycle bin.

I've tried on 2 computers, so I think it may just be some error on the disc. I'll try removing it manually again later, I couldn't find it before. Same basic path to find it for XP or totally different?

Same general principle, probably different names for the files.

Okay I need some advise for the future of my portugese empire. I have 4 centers of trade, lisbon and 3 in my colonies, 1 in cuba, 1 in brazil and one in bourbon... I make about 100 every year. What should I spend that 100 on? Conquering natives to grab some gold producing things and to convert them to the one true faith? Continue to slowly build up colonies? I have cape verde, fernando po and the small islands in the indian ocean as self sufficient colonies aswell as South Africa, 2 carribean islands and 1 brazilian colony. Should I start making some refineries for the sugar? Should I make all the spice and sugar trade posts I have size 6 or keep them size 1-2? I just don't know what to do to increase my income, I have been stuck at 70-100 florins at the start of each year for over 100 years even tho I control vast swaths of the globe from South Africa to parts of india, to almost the entire coast of South America, to California and the Midwest of North America... Do I conquer people like the creek and convert them? The Mayans? The Aztecs? Do I go after Benin? Any help is welcome.

Bumbing in hopes of getting an answer... I have a ton of gold right now, enough to drop 2 trade factories down or wait a bit and drop a couple infrastructure factories but I don't have any cotton colonies ready atm

What I am asking is what do I spend the 2k florins ons, 2 factories, tax collectors and judges, or more colonies? I haven't really played EU2 in years and the only colonizing I ever did was as Russia which was much different then gold poor Portugal so any advise is welcome

ugh... why is mount & blade so addictive?? im 200 days busy (in the game), 28.000 rich, swadian mofo with 560 prestige (not so much) and have finally a kickass company. The only thing I lack is good relations with my kinsmen (I screw everyone over) and a castle (I suck at sieges).

It's a good thing I named my character after one of the three greatest knights ever: The Knight who say Ni!!!
