Redman, when do you think you'll be able to play?

If you should take too long, maybe one of your allies could replace you.
 
Sully, why don't you make Italy's move? It makes sense, as you can make both of them together without spending time sending to someone else.
 
Go ahead. Any idea where redman is, or has he just lost interest in this game? (I understand it well if he has)
 
Redman is (unfortunately) sick but we need to move on and having 1 turn played by an ally won't change much of Italy status.

The austrian landing on sicily was a massive success, nearly no resistance was met. The local garrisons of messina and syracuse were quickly destroyed and the cities were liberated.

In northern italy, the siege of Milan was brought to an end. Total 4 italian MG's, 2 infantry units and one artillery battery were destroyed in detail austrians lost only one flamer.

2 british divisions fortified at the mountains NW of milan were also destroyed.
 
In the Med sea some Ottoman ships were sunk: 3 Subs and 2 Destroyers. The British empire lost 2 Destroyers.

The big Assault on Port Said was a flop: Britain lost 2 full Corps, whilst the Ottoman empire lost only a few expendable troops. :(

Sunk Lightcruiser W of Cyprus but lost a DD vs Iron Duke...
 
Well that does it for us then. Congrats to the Victors! You played a nearly flawless game.

Some comments...too many players meant too many delays. And I was responsible for a couple of them myself!

One thing I go back to is we had a major Save problem way back near Week 34 I think. There was a problem with a save. In that...I lost most of the techs I had stolen from the Brits and Germany. I could never recover from that.

But I'm all for throwing in the towel...2 years is long enough...ay????

It was great fun playing this scenario and I would be willing to try it again if someone would be willing? Maybe with some modifications. (Zeppelin power anyone?)

I agree we had too many players. Especially Italy suffered from too many players trying to coordinate her different fronts.

Thanks to Loulong for being a splendid defender of the Ottoman empire in the east. And my big admiration to Andis who took over a crippled Austrian empire but managed to bring them to a mean fighting machine.

Thx to Eric who hung in there to the end (almost).

And thanks to Luthor and Sully who provided the Kriegsmarine with nice ships for target practice in the english channel. :)

It would be interesting to discuss our strategies or certain aspects of the scenario.

Here are some point of views from my side:

*Zeppelins are way too powerful, nerf them or make them more expensive
*Increase the cost of building roads and railroads to prevent german blitzkrieg in the east.

*Let Britain have some cities at the western reaches of the atlantic map to represent canadian and US war efforts. As it was now there was no reason whatsoever for my subs to sail into the atlantic.

*Make sure all the wonders work as they should. Especially the ones producing US troops.

*Decrease tech costs. As Germany it didnt matter if I researched at 100% or 0% with 1 beaker, I still had 40 or 50 turns.

Ottomans are SOOOO happy ! Not even a need (or an opportunity) for Kemal to take over (well, I accepted his ideas regarding military/technical matters but that's all).

I would not mind playing it anew.

Indeed RR are much too easy to use. I could switch from one front to another SO quickly that I could actually defend easily !

Zepp are way too powerful. Even if I did not get to use it I totally agree !!!

Techs take way too long to research. They cannot do much.

Colonies should be buildable (silks in the East.... useless after I spent much time/worker time reaching them...).

British cities in the East : I also agree. That's what I did in my French and Indian War and the Boer War scenarii to "force" naval combat and although it might look strange or ugly ... it works fine.

Italy sure suffered from too many players, sometimes obvisouly of a poor level. I did not expect to not only survive with all my cities but to actually increase my size :p
