I have installed the patch and retained a version 1 folder so I can play both versions.
So I'm good to go however we do it.

I have now replayed the last move, and edited the save password.
We are now good for patch 2.08.

I hate to hijack your thread but how do I upgrade my warlords games to the new patch? I read somewhere that I had to "unlock" it with the admin password. I can't figure out what this means. I load my the with 1.61 and can't find anywhere to "unlock" it. I try loading the save with 2.06 and it won't load. Can somebody do a step-by-step process of what I need to do? Thanks.

1)
Run Warlords v1.61.
Open save.
Go into Game Details.
(This is towards bottom of same menu as Load/Save/Retire/Exit is on)
Clear the Admin password.
(You need to have entered it, before you get to clear it)
Finish turn, save game.
2)
Send save on to other players.
They should now be able to play in v2.08.
3)
When save comes back to you.
Open it in v2.08.
Go into game settings/details
Re-enter admin password
Save and continue.
Run Warlords v1.61.
Open save.
Go into Game Details.
