PDF: Civ4 BtS reference sheet

But in the other hand, if we want to have full compatibility with the game, it should be "Aluminum" (see: Civilopedia).

Here's another thing, that is "50-50": In Plastics tech info, it says that Standard Ethanol reqs another tech also, like Civilopedia does too. But Plastics already requires Corporation (->AL->Industrialism->Plastics).

I also noticed that background graphics of Kublai Khan and Qin Shi Huang are wrong.

You could also add something meaning a building or wonder can only be constructed in coastal city (The Colossus etc.), in river city (Hydro Plant etc.) or in either of them (Dike).

And you could eras to tech info, like a mention under the tech name (Ancient Era etc.).

About those leader infos, do "never" wonder builders (especially Montezuma) even let Heroic Epic and West Point not to be constructed or is this only for world wonders, or something else?

And yet again, thanks for excellent job!

I uploaded new version.
All reported errors (to post #123) removed.
Some sections improved with your suggestions.
Table of contents added.
Enjoy!

Page 26: Scotland Yard isn't a National Wonder in BtS, strictly speaking, because you should be able to build it in multiple cities as long as you have Great Spies (though I haven't tested this). If you want to include Scotland Yard anyhow (which I would recommend), you should also add the Academy (can only be built by Great Scientist, +50% science, ...).

You are a king among men. :king:

I have nothing to complain this is the best and most beautiful guide I have ever seen. CAN I MARRY YOU NOW?

The original was excellent, the updated one is better than excellent!

However, I noticed some typos:

- White Rabbit is mentioned twice in thanks section
- Hippodrome doesn't provide Artists (info says it allows 2 of them)
- You could add mention about Cristo Redentor build bonus to info about Spiritual trait (it isn't mentioned there in Civilopedia, but I think it's important thing, already mentioned in wonders and production sections)
- Notre Dame only gives happiness to cities on same continent, not all
- Upgrade table: Conquistadors can be built until Gunships, so there should be arrows Conquistador->Cavalry (existing) and Conquistador->Gunship (new one)
- Upgrade table: Crossbowmen and Cho-Ko-Nus can be upgraded to Riflemen
- Promotion tree: Pinch reqs Gunpowder, not Rifling
- Promotion tree: Drill I leads to Shock, Cover and Pinch (not mentioned in tree)
- Promotion tree: Drill II leads to Formation (not mentioned in tree)
- You get free Great Spy from Communism (not mentioned in specialists info)
- Wealth section: +25% corporation maintenance with Environmentalism (not mentioned)
- Espionage section: Security Bureau gives +50% defence against espionage, not +50% espionage
- City Defense section: Walls and Dun provide -50% bombardment damage from pre-gunpowder units, and Castle and Citadel -25% (in section: all -25%)
- GP Birth Rate section: same free Great Spy I already said is missing here too, if Mercantilism is here, Statue of Liberty should be here too

And thanks for the best reference sheets for Civilization ever!

Great!

My two cents:

1. I think pillaging gives Gold not Commerce.
2. Header for resources: "Base & Imrov. bonus" instead of "...Improv."
3. Page 44 (on A5): Keshik is Mongolian and Numidian Cavalry is Carthaginian.

I'll be printing this out. Thank you very much!!!!

Hi anion,

I love this last page with the keyboard references :) and I thank you for this great work.

I mentioned in a previous post, that it can be much faster to get the point if you see images. So are you planning to replace "+ 1H" or "+1 health" with the appropriate icons? In my opinion this would be the "icing on the cake"

Hi, HHG!

Maybe it would be the "icing on the cake", but ...
I tried to swap F/H/C with symbols and unfortunatelly it becomes little unreadable. :( Symbols of food and commerce "sinked" in background.
So I decided to leave them as they are.
But thank you for your suggestion. :)

I won't wait for polish version any longeer - i would print this today!!

BTW i would like to base on your version this kind of manual for 1939 mod - it would be possible to share by you source material?

Well - I thought it will be a hard work to replace that everywhere and because you are the professional I see the problem. But hey - perhaps you find a nice way to dim the background.

Nevertheless thx for it :goodjob:

Awesome work dj_anion!!! I don't remember any manual of any game that was nearly as useful and nicely done!

Just a thought: On pages 6-11, in the section about Leaders-AI favourites-diplomatic attitudes, there's a description for "Close Cultural Borders" modifiers. I understand this to be the attitude penalties in the absence of an open borders agreement with any given Leader. If so, would it not be better to change the phrase to "Closed Cultural Borders"?

Cheers!

No. Close cultural borders means that you risk a diplomatic penalty if you have your cultural borders near to any of that AI's city. That is what I think so.
As you see - that penalties are different for different leaders.

Anion i would also advise to further specify what kind of civics are listed below for example:

Government Civics

Despotism
Hereditary Rule
Representation
Police State
Universal Suffrage

Further dividing and specifying civics would really make the civic section more straightforward.

dj_anion - good work :) ! Next time post it on our forum too.

Gratki, przyda się jak tylko znajdę kolorową drukarkę
