Petition:New leader for China~

Hey Fishy, I'm here because this place isn't communist!

Someone else touched on it earlier, but with the ability to use unrestricted leaders, it's somewhat irrelevant who has how many leaders. So I think if there's a third expansion, it'll probably only have enough rulers to fill the current trait combinations that are missing (Imp/Ind? It's somewhere on wiki's BTS page). Entirely new civs will be the main thing, since rulers are interchangable, but Unique Buildings and Unique Units aren't.

That being said, they may add leaders to existing civs, since Unrestricted Leaders isn't always desirable (Scariest thing I saw was Tokugawa of England... I wasn't good enough to conquer them before Rifling, at which point I mysteriously lost interest in that game). If they do, China certainly could have another one. Liu Bang established the Han dynasty which lasted... I dunno, a very long time. So long that the Chinese still refer to their ethnic group as Han.

Kangxi would be my first choice for a new Chinese leader. Or given that not every "leader" in the game was actually leader of their country historically (e.g. Gandhi, Pericles, Hannibal) Zheng He would be cool too IMO.

EDIT: I changed my mind. After reading about Sun Yat-sen he looks like he's probably a better choice than Kangxi... I still wouldn't mind seeing Zheng He though...

Hmmm... the Japanese are raping my people and destroying the nation... who cares I have communists to deal with. Ha ha ha ha, they said they could "JOIN" with us to defeat the Japs', those sneeky communists.

NOTE: Despite the above statement, I hate communists. But I don't think they should be killed. Instead, moved to Antartica, there they can freeze to death equally.

At least they aren't as bad as fascists. Oh wait Never mind they usual are dictatorships under the guise of socialism :D

To be fair no real communism has ever existed. On the other hand there has never been a true democracy either :D

Certain townships in New England and (I think) Switzerland practice Direct Democracy, so it's existed on the local level before. Similarly, smarter people could argue that certain aboriginal tribes practiced things similar to Communism. I can't make that argument, because I don't know enough about it except to say that it isn't "true" Communism because it happened before Marx and Engles. But if you hold "From each according to their means, to each according to their needs" as Communism, then some tribes were that way. Also, Hunter-Gatherers are thought to have been close to that, except Marx wouldn't have accepted it, since they didn't have any means of production to own...

Use mods - you can have all the leaders you want.

I wish they'd make a seperate forum for these kinds of threads.

Agree. This thread is really pointless and to see people completely ignorant (or worse, ignorant yet think they know oh-so-much) talk about who SHOULD be a leader of china is just insulting. I for one will not post anymore comments in this thread, and i hope everyone else stops too, so the thread wont receive any more attention.
