Phoenatica... Revisited

Ever think back to the glourious days when Fox Nest was the most powerful city in the world, when PDX the happiest place on earth, and to the glory of the Phoenatican civilization, and say to yourself, "I could have done better..." ?

I propose something like the GOTM. We would each get the first Phoenatican save file, and play it. Every once in a while, we'ed upload our games so as to compare them among ourselves, and with the original DG1 save.

Anyone up for it?

I've thought about that myself, even WHILE playing DG1, "it'll be cool to replay it from the first save when we're done."

Never actually did it though, sounds good Oct.

Im in. Question, however:
1.29 or 1.14
Id say 1.29 since 1.14 allows us to upgrade the swordsmen.

Unless we all wanted to downgrade our copies of Civ3, I'd just go Civ3 1.29.

I hope it is compadible with PTW's additions. If not we can always use a save game editor and load it up as a scenario map.

If you want, I can convert the first DG1 save into a scenario .

I can rename the perians the Phoenaticans, and then find the city list to add the cities . The great leaders would have names like Strider, CivGeneral, Falcon02, etc. .

There will be two scenarios:
One Scenario with just the civ3 stuff while the other Scenario contains stuff from PTW :

How can you convert the first save into a scenario?


I tried importing a save once to no avail.


BTW, I think it should be in the origanal Civ3 Classic, not PTW. There weren't any Medival Infantry.

Eyrei has been around for a while, too..., Veera could be a strong early contender.

The map thing is pretty easy, just use Civ3 MultiTool to export the save map and rules as a bic. I just did it for the current DemoGame Map.

I don't think you're allowed to do it for the current game...

Here's the 3500BC save, went to the forums and dug it up. I'm not sure if there WAS a 4000BC save or not.

EDIT: CT, we could go through the End of the DG1 save, and that'll tell us the EXACT order of City naming building.

Only question I have is.... should it be Falcon's Haven or New Falcon's Have??

Cause FH lasted 5 to 10 turns, NFH is the one that survived through the ages.

Whoa, calm down CT....... I'm using it to make an Internal Conflict scenario, you know Lancre vs. Vanir and all that good stuff..... no intention of testing out wars and telling everyone if it would work.
