I have the same problem as cg...no alternate ports work and I keep getting the unable to resolve error message. The firewall has been told to exempt mIRC so I can't see what the trouble is???

LOL...no I am having no luck at all with any of this. I disabled my firewall and tried to log inot one of the pre-assigned chat servers to see if I could connect to any chat server and I still get the unable to resolve host error message. I think the fr%^&* cable company might have blocked all the ports used by the chat program. Will try the java based one on a Wintel machine. Nobody here uses MIM, huh?

Got the "repair save", and tried to load it.

Error: Failed to load, blah, blah etc.

This seems to be a problem on my end, let me try to figure it out.
