Can't you hack your way through? ;)

Your mother is a (edited for better word) DESPOT!!!
:hammer:

(Sorry, I didn't mean to diss your mom, just her computer policy - and a bloody outrageous policy it is! What would she rather you do, spend all your time drinking and eating at black-tie fundraisers? No foresight among parents these days...)

 Alright guys, I'll be back around 2 or 2:30. I have a flag football game to go to, but unfortunately the marathon forms a direct square around our house! We're trapped! ;)

Sorry you guys about not playing this one but i have a good game going on hotseat and believe or not, it has only crashed once......

GO MAUIDUCK

Just so you all can be sure I was focused on the game, I downloaded some of the pics from the evening, and sure enough, the digital camera captured my thoughts at about the same time Cgannon's parental unit was laying in the jackboot....

joe, is the Hellions game resting with you? I could take a turn and we'll see where Maui duck is...

Nick, I would have posted here telling you to check your mail, but the forum was busy again. I wonder, is everyone here? Hopefully we can get in alot of turns.

My updated status for tonight: around 7-9/10 I have to go. Its my mother's birthday, and we are eating out. Sorry if I'm postponing, but I've had a full weekend guys. All three events (Test, play, birthday) come before Civ. So I'll be free to play until around 7, and then from about 10-11.

Why does this always happen? I'm just about to go out for dinner for a couple of hours and yet the game is lurching my way... I agreed to it in part because it looked like NOTHING would happen for the rest of the day.

The main reason I am going, of course, is to seek counsel, since I am profoundly disturbed by the eerie fact that I have somehow become a bartending veteran in Milwaukee. Quite unexpected :D

I'll post here when I return. Watch your mail, Joe.

Just got a turn in - thanks, Maui! It's in Joe's box. I know it's slow now, but from where I am sitting, this is looking like a hell of an interesting challenge...

OK great....I'm here like I said now that net is working...oh BTW...tried live mulkti-player last night and what a joke.... ;) ... I could host a game but not join one. And even when I hosted the graphics were soooo slow and jerky it reminded me of DonkeyKong circa 1988.......so tahty confirms all the talk that they have a lot to do so it looks like PBEM is the only way to go long distance until the next patch come sout (it will allow non GameSpy hook up svia the Net)...:)

Anyway, I await your next e-mail.

And I will leave you all with this thought:

"YOUR MOTHER WAS A HAMPSTER!

Nick! Check your mail. :D

You know, playing PBEMs really makes you micromanage and think heavily about each decision, knowing you have 5 minutes for every turn. Although, playing PBEMs really makes you hate moving in the wrong direction. I just built my second warrior (screw it! I'll tell you!) for exploration, and I moved him where I realized afterwards that I shouldn't have moved him. Now I have to wait an eternity to move him in the direction I want him to go, thinking about it the whole time while I wait. Torture! ;)

Remember guys, I have to do homework now, but I'll check in every once and a while until my mom's birthday dinner.

PBEM also encourages you to name every unit and rename every city and consult with every advisor every turn because lawd knows you might not see the game again for days!

(And I'm so glad that I didn't hung up in this Pioneer game after all - Covered wagons is more like it!!!)
