I kind of like pangea but with some small islands around.
I'm ok with balanced or with random, as long as there aren't any super starts. In the PBEM, my initial start point was great, but the land around it was amazing. Which shows just how good at this game I am, given my current position
I think either toroidal or something sort of like what we have in the MTDG is fine - I'm 99% sure that it's basically a circle with mountain ranges separating different regions and a space in the middle which is Angle. I kind of like the idea of land in the middle to fight over, but I can deal with a lake.
Something that keeps memphus from killing a civ in the first 10 turns would be good

I'd like to use the "No Score" mod....we are using it in 2 different games right now and it is pretty cool. Basically, the only thing that moves the score is Wonders, and they all count as 1! Everything else in the game stays the same, unless difficulty is set to Deity, then research times are lengthened also.

It does save a lot of time trying to track score. It also removes the global demographics page to stop people looking into that as well.
Personally, I would rather use it than not.
And I've changed my mind on leader, now wanting Shaka.
