It was dropped and restarted again. At least on 1.61 it's behaving much better, allowing me to save, stop, and restart without having to cancel proceses from the task manager.

I guess your "contact by culture" strategy has expanded to "contact by settler". The good news is settlers can move 2 spaces at a time.

BTW I was blocked from getting in due to Meleager's firewall or something last night.

yup and im getting mr workers to build roads infront of the settler so it can explore even faster

Hah! That's funny. Tubby's my teammate and his workers may have sharp teeth and act like sappy mullet headed Chuck Norris but mine have Bruce Lee hands and are registered as lethal weapons. They will do battle!
