Patch 14b for Planetfall, the Alpha Centauri total conversion mod for Civ4 BtS, has been released. This patch needs to be applied on top of the main v14 file of Planetfall. Patch b does not break games started under the main patchless v14.



This patch mostly contains bug fixes and AI tweaks. In addition the following has been done:

1. The Bloom morphosis now requires Psionics instead of Affinity Gene.
2. Building a Sea Commune now requires Pholus Mutagen instead of Centauri Ecology.
3. Fixed a code mistake causing only the first faction offered a seat to actually be able to join the Council.
4. Fixes the bugs with unity rover graphics and air units.
5. Feature growth boost by the Bioreactor building doubled.
 
Thunderbolt with fuel nanocells and photon wall promotions still crashes a game when rebasing. Memory allocation fail.
Behemoth also bugged (promoted unit has no model).

I can confirm the problem with the normal thunderbolt model, but the model for the Fuel Nanocells Thunderbolt works just fine for me. Are you sure the latter is also causing problems? Do you have a save?

Behemoth also bugged (promoted unit has no model).

I can't find any problem with the Behemoth. Can you specify how the behemoth was promoted, or can you provide a save?
 
Because i suspect, that only last promotion has model-changing effect, it is photon wall guilt.
About behemoth - i do not remember, but it can be range1 or nanometall armour possibly.
I checked - this is range1.

Your suspicion is correct. The last promotion determines the outlook of the graphic.
 
I'm trying to download this mod, but the download you've posted lead to downloads of "unknown file" types, which I can't do anything with. Any help?

remember to download the MAIN version, and then the latest PATCH using the same process
 
Is it supposed to lead to FileFront, because that site hosts the Unknown File type. I checked your link last night and it was fine, but now it leads to FileFront...

EDIT: Suddenly it works now. Maybe I did something wrong or maybe I accedentally went to the mirror or something. Either way, the file you posted on FileFront is probably broken. You should look into that.
 
Slight problem. I am about to download the third of the RAR film files for Planetfall. I am asked to authenticate myself as a human being and not as a spammer. Unfortunately, I can't. The two words are not only spammer proof but human proof! :(
 
It is alright. I left it about ten minutes, went back in and I wasn't required to certify two words which would have required an uncorrected astigmatism decipher!

Ghost blockade by defeated native life.

After defeating fortified/blockading native life, the blockade still remains, making it impossible to found bases on or use the blockaded tiles. Is there any way to get around this bug?
 
Actually, Maniac has already stated that the alien factions will not be implemented. (Which actually leaves a hole or two, mostly in technology quotes that mention the Progenitors, such as Field Modulation.)

Patch 14d for Planetfall, the Alpha Centauri total conversion mod for Civ4 BtS, has been released. This patch needs to be applied on top of the main v14 file of Planetfall. Patch d breaks games started under the previous patches.



Changelog:

1. Disabled some python callbacks as per Sephi's Speed Mod.
2. The Hybrid civic no longer completely removes Number of Cities maintenance. Instead Number of Cities maintenance in a base is reduced by 10% for every Fungus or Hybrid Forest feature within its radius. The health penalty is reduced to -1.
3. University Artillery units always heal, "march ability".
4. Believer Cultural Golden Age: culture is accumulated on player level and can trigger a golden age at a certain threshold.
5. Angel infantry units can pick the unique Spectre special ability: the unit attacks the weakest target and is given covert ops invisibility, but each Spectre counts towards the probe team limit.
6. Gaian Colony Pods and Probe Teams gain double movement speed on Forest and Fungus.
7. The Accuracy special ability has been renamed to Heavy Artillery.
8. Barrage I has been turned into a special ability.
9. The Thermobaric Missile unit can choose one of three spec abs: Barrage I, Precision or Fuel Nanocells.
10. Cloning Vats increase production speed of Infantry units by 10%.
11. In Diplomatic Victory elections each civ has one vote, Civ5-style.
12. Warning message added when you have a positive Psi Potential and a Spawning Spot is created on a revealed plot.
13. Blockade bug with Expansion factions should be fixed.

Ooooh, shiny! Cool to see some of the more interesting Civ5 ideas stolen for Planetfall! :D
