Plans for DoC 1.16

gay commies from outer space!

no, seriously...i'm in love with this proposal. it's really in depth, albeit veeeeeeeery ambitious in design.

what do you think about it @Leoreth, @knoedel, @1SDAN, @Tigranes?

I think you just accidentally tagged a guy who hasn't been active in this forum in almost 20 years instead of me.

I don't honestly care, there would be a million other things I would implement in a modmod before even considering this mechanic, and even then I would rather just constantly bother Leoreth about it instead of trying to do it myself.

In 2001 I was in elementary school and most certainly didn't play Civ, much less comment on it in a random forum in a language I don't know.

Also I didn't even have the nickname Knoedel yet, I only got that one a few years later when I was a teenager.

In 2001... I was 6 and yet I remember I loved civ II, although I was only good at it if I cheated

2001 i was like, 2 years old. Didnt even had a PC.
My first touch in Civ was actually with Civ Evo when i was 8, a Civ II knock off made to balance out the original one.
it was fun. Very.
Would ruch Theology to get Fundamentalism and Muskets.

Rationally I agree. But please understand that after such a long time of polishing 1.15 I want to actually create and complete something new for the mod first.

How different the forum - and mod - would be if this wasn't the mindset of just about all of us
I know right! Modding is super easy, and I'd be glad to help other people with their issues.

Perhaps I could post some tutorials on how I mod? I'm not exactly sure how helpful they'd be, but it's better than nothing right?

Like an anime fan on prom night.

I grew up in the North German Plain and the highest point in our town was 50m above sea level and we called it a mountain, does that answer your question? If I compare Rome to other cities like e.g. San Francisco it is not particularly hilly.

And in addition, it's already hard enough for the HRE to conquer Rome for their UHV goal, we don't need to make Rome even harder to conquer.

I would personally like that, I might give simple modding a shot sometime

I wouldn't go so far as to say "doomed". Sometimes, to my joy I see Dai Viet Khmer surviving and even Shaky. Pre-historic Vietnam was home to some of the world's earliest civilizations and societies—making them one of the world's first people who practiced agriculture. With an estimated 94.6 million inhabitants as of 2016, it is the world's 14th-most-populous country and deserves to respawn as Khmer-turn to-Vietnam civ in 20th century.
You means make a Dai Viet empire :queen: ? Because Khmer is not Vietnam and Vietnam is not Khmer, i searched the Vietnamese-Siam War and Mongol-Vietnamese War and they did won.

The problem with proposed climate change process in game is simple - AI. Would it be able to understood pollution/Armageddon counter? It would be terribly unfun if only way to force AI to become environmentally aware was war.

All real governments accept climate change, see they've all signed the Paris agreement.
