I have been playing a lot of this mod and I have been thinking if the plantation pantheon is worth taking, as to build plantations you need to unlock a tier 2 tech plus 2 tier 1 techs, which takes a long ass time. Plus why it makes it pretty bad is that it only provides +1 faith per each one. Most other pantheons also give +1 faith per resource, however requires only 1 tech in tier 1. Even worse when the plantation spawns with a forest, it then goes to 2 tier 2 techs, which takes forever, which more or less always results you not getting a religion. So I was thinking if it would be better if it gave +2 faith?

Yup, many pantheons are not worth taking. Like yeah, this one is pretty bad most of the time, but goddess of fertility (+1F+1F from shrine/well) is also not the brightest tool in the shed. Same can be said of Earth Mother, Goddess of Love and some others.

You should still go to a religion or pantheon thread in the balance subforum though.

Yeah, I'd pretty much only go for it if I'm playing Indonesia. I think reducing the tech requirements for chopping Forest/Jungle might help it a bit. I basically never go resource pantheons myself though so w/e.

Goddess of Fertility seems pretty decent actually, it's one of the very few Pantheons that provides a scaling benefit and afaik the only scaling benefit that isn't Faith. The Faith generation isn't going to be amazing but if you want to go tall and don't need tons of Faith (and preferably don't have a lot of rivers) it seems pretty good. Still think it should apply to Water Mills though.

it is decent. but i doubt you have so many productive cities to raise those buildings quickly enought to be comparable with other better pantheons. or you have to have ton of expendable gold to purchase those.

IMO Earth Mother is the only good resource pantheon for a number of reasons: mines are available early, mine resources are plentiful and include Iron as well, +2 production on monuments is a nice early bonus and much better than +2 gold from markets, and the yields from mine tiles (mostly production/gold) are generally what you want for a wide faith empire already. God of the Sea is theoretically useful sometimes, I think you'd usually take it for atolls moreso than fishing boats since you then don't have to improve anything to get the benefit, but it's rare that you'll get some crazy 3 atoll start or something.

I take it quite a lot and it usually leads to a religion. The extra culture on tiles is great.

The pantheon was changed in the most recent patch (which was like 5 hours after this topic was posted, incidentally) so the original complaint has been addressed, new version of the pantheon looks better.
