The individual expansions are getting harder to find... at least for direct download. Gamefly.com has the individual expansions. If you want disk versions, then probably your best bet is Amazon.

However, you may just want to get CIV IV Complete, which you can find anywhere online.

It doesn't say on the gamefly page if their downloadable BTS is compatible with the CD Version of the vanilla game. I would be careful here, if you don't have the base-game also from gamefly ask their support if it would work before you buy.

I saw a Civ 4 complete disk the last time I was at my local Target store, maybe two weeks ago. If you check discount racks at these kind of stores you can find a lot of surprising stuff.

I'd wager to guess that it does not, as Gamefly has a different version than what Direct2Drive (bought out by Gamefly) used to have. I had Civ IV Gold on Disk (Vanilla and Warlords) and had BTS from D2D, and it worked fine with the disk version. However, Gamefly has switched to some new versions of each expansion that seems to mirror "Complete" in its setup. The real nuisance is that I can't just click on a save anymore and open it directly into the game. Gamefly also has the actual "Complete". Regardless, they all work fine, but I would not combine the online with disk versions now.

I bought the same item from Target in April. It works fine. It had BTS 3.17 on it but the 3.19 updater from the link to a mirror site from here worked with no problems.

It looked like the same package I got from Target when 'complete' was a fairly new item. I don't know what version is on my disk but the internal update feature has never given me any problems.

I just installed my Box versions of Civ iv and BTS and the 3.19 patch on windows 7 and it's asking me for the cd...

My bad. It never put the BTS shortcut on the desktop. Was trying to launch with the normal Civ 4 one. Had to dig out the correct launcher, everything works fine now. (I haven't played in quite a while!)

Compared to some zombies that are stomping around this barely qualifies as dead. There's a zombie in OT from like 2006 that has to have put on two or three pages of new pseudo-life since it crawled out of the grave.
