Players for New Epic Game Wanted

D!ck VII is out.
 
Okay guys, I have emailed most of you via the forums, and PMed...I think it was Religionfanatic, as emailing was not an option.

Once everyone's confirmed they are up for this and are subscribed to this thread, we can have a conversation about how many and which days we'll run this on, finalize settings, etc.

Civ 5 is reinstalled. :)
 
I'm ready anytime! I don't plan to go away for next weeks or do something long and laborious.
 
More than 4 players sounds very good. It's hard to be epic with only 4 people.
 
True, though lag issues may make more unplayable later...we'll see.

I found and added Tabarnak and Brenador on Steam. Can't find the others. My name there is Onan and my account name is KaminOnan.
 
Okay guys, it looks like we're basically ready to go.

How many days per week, 2 or 3? Which days? You guys can pick it, I can pretty much do any day during the stated time slot.

Also, any final discussions about settings? It might help us get launched on day one. Hopefully we can do that in the next few days! Looking forward to it.
 
Hmn, okay...how about Monday Wednesday Friday? Or Tues/Thurs/Saturday? That's your time...generally I'll leave my time out of the thread as much as possible to try to avoid confusion. Let us know your preferences so we can settle on something and get going. Even two days a week would get us through a game fairly quick, I think.
 
I work on Mondays and Tuesdays and it is not really stable, five weeks ago i worked Fridays Saturdays & Sundays :/ (i work from 1:30PM to 10:00Pm so playing will not be possible)

for the foreseen present any day is okay excluding Monday and Tuesdays, i will try my best with my boss to keep it like that & not change it to any other days.

and if anything happens i will let you know 3 weeks in advance
 
3rd edit to get the timezones/dates correct. I recommend http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/personal.html to help keep this stuff straight. Meso/ Pittballz is on this side of the dateline, but because it's evening our time, and you guys are at least 19 hours behind, it's actually all the same day--just the wee hours of that day for anyone in North America. So you might want to keep in mind that when we're talking about Sunday, it is your Sunday very early (after midnight Saturday night). I hope this helps...

We had a very brief little warm up game earlier. He found El Dorado. Heh. Let's get that kind of luck out of your system now! ;)

I can play Monday i think. I don't work on the same day. Because i play ''before'' work if i understand but not before sleep between lol. So Monday from 4am to 6am for me(Onan's time=8pm to 10pm i guess)
 
um, Meso just said he can't play Mondays and Tuesdays.... So...it's nice you're free on Monday, but we've kind of ruled that one out?

I thought process of elimination should work here.

How are Sun/Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat for everyone? And what I'm looking for here are days you should be able to play during the time slot on a regular basis. Make sense?

I can't predict which days on a regular basis. I can tell 24 hours before if i can play or not. Wednesday is ok for me for now.
 
Oh, okay. That will make things tricky, but doable if you are good about posting in advance.

At this point, I think we only have three players pursuing this. Brenador hasn't responded since I double checked with him about the time. And religionfanatic hasn't responded. So...I think we're still in hold mode, waiting for at least one more player....
 
I am kind of busy in the real world right now, but I should be available in a few days. I do not have a preference for any day of the week.
 
If you haven't started yet, I'd be interested in joining. I live in eastern Canada, but I'm one of those sleep-disturbed types - I usually work night and am frequently up until around 6 am or so - this would fit my schedule well. I *think* my steam name is Urrumi or something like that.

(I've never done MP in Civ V, so I expect I'll be easy pickings for those of you with experience!)

EDIT: If there are only 3-4 players so far, I assume this will be done on a smaller map?

Usually tiny for 4 players, 6 for small, etc.
