Playground Mod

Ok, before I start uploading, anything else to report?
 
Ok, fixing up Civpedia, and now preparing to upload... For the last time in quite a while.
 
It's ok. We've still got feedback from it, and we still fixed some errors we missed.

Don't worry, you've already playtested it once, when it was not even finalized yet. You've done your part.

Well, with the whole me being grounded until the end of the school year, I doubt we'll get the scenarios done for a while. On the positive side, since I'll be so bored just sitting around, I'll probably get alot of brainstorming on stuff!:)
 
In every storm cloud there is a silver lining I guess.
 
Well, I'll just post some things that I'm trying to figure out how to do, so all you people can also brainstorm, and there shall be a great storm of brains over the world, much to the joy of zombie-children everywhere!:)

-Need a tech tree for every scenario. The only one I have a vague idea for is the Group Wars, and all I really know is that one tech, fo rthe Girls only, will be called "Masterian", and will let you build the Mobile Forts. And another tech, near the end of the tree, would be "Blitzkrieg", and would allow the GWC to build their Giant Death Robots.
-Need to decide which scenarios to actually use. The ones I know we'll have are:
1. Boy Girl War I
2. Boy Girl War II
3. The Group Wars
4. Boy Boy War
5. The Last War
6. The Cold War
The ones that I'm debating are:
1. Some kind of pre-playground wars scenario, where basically you all play as Barbarian civs, trying to organize into the civilizations that would make the Playground such an.... Intersting... place.
2. The GWC versus alien bugs. Cause we spent most of the time that we weren't conquering other people playing a game where we had to save the galaxy from evil bug things.
3. Some kind off scenario to represent the Pokemon craze that swept through the Playground. Char would be dominant in it, and the way to win would be a kinda space race victory.
4. The Creation of the Boy Union. The BU would be really weak, and would have to fight barbarians, girls, and to try and become the dominant power.
5. The Freak Attack Revolution. I know it's a very important event in Playground history, but I'm not sure how it could be put in, since FA and the UF had only a handful of people in them, and the BU, while having a huge military, had pathetic soldiers.
6. The Battle For Girl Island. Basically, a free for all between the UF, the Girls, the Staff, and barbarians. But I'm not really sure if it's an important enough event to put in.
7. Boy Girl War III. Technically, war was declared between the Boy's and Girls a third time during 5th grade, but nothing really happened.
8. FA's conquest of the Playground. Once again, important event that I think should be put in, but not sure exactly how.
9. The One Day Wars. Once again, I really think it should be put in, because of it's importance, but the sheer superiority of FA would make it difficult to make into a good scenario.
-Need to decide if we need any scenario specific wonders/improvements.
-Need to figure out exactly how to represent the UF betraying FA, and the Reb's rebellion in the Last War.
-Need to figure out what civ will represent the Barbarians in Boy Boy War and the Cold War.
-Need to decide if we need some new units in some of the scenarios (For example, in Boy Girl War II, the Girls getting WWII German Infantry, and the Boys getting WWII American Infantry.)

So, let the great brainstorm begin!

That's easy. Just give FA and the UF only king units to start out as, and then make the king units really powerful, and set on offense. And then just make them in a locked alliance against the BU. Then just play with victory point victory. The BU needs to hold onto enough of their cities long enough and/or kill enough FA and UF troops that are built at the cities, and win.

Okay, Boy Girl War I. I've already kinda made a beta-tech tree on paper with all the free time I've had, and I've kinda got an idea. The map will have Boy Island, Girl Island, Octogania (The island in the middle of the sea, for all you other people out there), and the northern part of the mainland. (I've already made a test map, but it was for an earlier version of the mod.) Basically, what we're gonna have is the Girls starting with a really large army, most of which will be in the city "Landing Site" on Octogania. All the Octoganian city's other than that one will be Boy controlled (Their capital will be the city in the center of the island), and have victory point things. But the Boys will not have a large army on the place, will skip the first turn, and will be unable to build military units until they've researched the first tech (Whcih the Girls start out with, but the boys don't), so the Island should fall pretty quickly. On Boy Island, half the cities will be Girls, half the cities will be Boys, but neither side will have a large military presence on the island. Alexi will also be on the island, but since he did not lead the boys at this time, he will be an MGL. Girl Island won't be very important, will only have two cities, and no victory points. But it will be the Girls capital-place. On the mainland, the boys second largest city will be Boy City, and it will be placed on the coast (It's kinda hard to describe the exact location, but once I can start using my own computer and we start making the map, you'll see). Since it's the second largest, it will be where the boy's capital moves to when their capital on Octogania falls. The boy's king unit will also be there. And throughout the desert and in other random locatoins, the boys and girls will have outposts. Ones with vital resources nearby will have VPs, but most will just be pointless outpost things. Max will be a boy MGL in one of the outposts. Basically, the Girls will have to conquer Octogania fast, and prevent the Boys from retaking any land, until they get enough VPs to win. The Boys will have to build up their weak military, and drive the Girls back to GI.
