I'm not sure I understand how this new topics/replies function works.
At work, once I start browsing CFC I need to pretty much stay here. If I get up, or get distracted for a few minutes, I come back and all the new posts and replies suddenly are not new. Which makes it more difficult for me to see what's new and what's not. Oh, with new threads it's not that difficult. But I find that I'm re-reading posts I've already read before, and often replied too. So I have to now either hunt for the new threads, trying to remember the last time I was here, or read from the end of the thread til where I left off, again hoping I remember when that was.
Now, I just had to leave for a bit. I didn't think about it, but I just got up and left. Come back an hour or so later and see that I left my browser open to CFC. Oh, great, I'm thinking, Now I have to figure what I missed. But lo and behold, the new threads/replies have not been reset. WTH? At work, if I'm idle for longer than ten minutes or so, I get reset. Now I've been sitting for about an hour, and it hasn't reset. Am I missing something here?
At work I've gotten reset when I read a long thread that I either missed or just decided to take part in. Now, my laptop is just sitting there connected, and it didn't get reset.
