I have just ended up with a website automatically as my homepage, and I am furious about it. I am sending an email to all of the programs that his/her site is involved in. I would like you all to also send a complaint, and maybe this jerk will wake up to his/her self!
Here is the list of emails that the site is utilizing the services of:
info@bannersxchange.com; info@linkstoyou.com; info@spiderbait.com; info@7search.com; technical@free-banners.com; advertise@addfreestats.com; webmaster@freepagecounter.com; admin@freepagecounter.com
The owner of the site does not have a contact email, so I have had a stab at guessing.
Here is the email that I have sent. Please forward it also:
Please help me teach the webmaster who owns http://www.freepagecounter.com a
lesson in manners. He/she is using your program, and it is not a good look for your image.
Their site has automatically changed my homepage settings!
Not only that, but it spawns an annoying ammount of popups.
This is extremely intrusive, and it is not appreciated by ANYONE!
Such tactics are frowned apon by the general webmaster community, and it is pathetic.
It is my suggestion that you suspend his/her account until he/she removes the
automatic homepage set code.
Many newbies to the web do not know how to change this code, and it will be extremely
frustrating for them, if not just plain infuriating!
I would have emailed the webmaster of the site personally, but there is no contact on the site
or within the HTML. I am having a stab at the email address in this mail, although I do
not know if he/she will recieve it.
I am very upset to be a victim of such greedy and tasteless arrogance.

P.S. I have had difficulty writing this email, because a new popup is spawned every 20 seconds!
and if you close them, they just keep spawning more and more, and they just don't stop!
