Poker?

Anyone a poker player here? I just learned Texas Hold 'Em and haven't played any kind of poker (I think 7-card stud) since my age was single-digits.

It's actually kind of fun. I don't have much interest in playing online (though could be talked into it ). I'm kind of enamored by the idea of being able to make money at it (but probably so are 10 million other people).

I'm a pure beginner so far.

Anyone have any interesting poker stories?

I had a regular weekly Hold 'em game for about 4 or 5 years, with a regular group, but it died out. I love Hold 'em, probably my favorite variation.

I tried online but it's totally different. All math, all odds. Most people play very tight. I don't find it as much fun.

I enjoy playing Hold 'Em as well. I fancy myself to be above average, but I know a lot of people are playing stupid on the 'free' tables online, so I'm not going to do any play-for-money online for a while yet.
