With all the hysteria in the media over this bird flu issue, I didn't want the previous viral scare to feel lonely.

There's a Funny Picture thread in this forum and there's the Picture Editing thread in OT. This is indeed the Cartoon thread. I see no need to get confused about it.

BBC Radio 4's 'Today' programme ran a cartoon competition recently. They asked listeners to send in cartoons on the theme of peace and harmony. Here is one of them but you can see the rest right here.

About FDR's ridiculous attempt to pack the Supreme Court court with his cronies by increasing its size from 9 to 15.

A lot of people don't realize that it was previously a common thing to change the Supreme Court and wasn't necessarily unusual. But it did backfire on him, since people (rightly) assumed he did it to get favorable justices and it mobilized the Republican party. After that, republicans began to regain seats and narrow down the gap in congress, ending new deal reform.

I know this isn't the best place to do this, but, since historical cartoons get mixed in here with modern ones, there was a cartoon I found once of Teddy Roosevelt leading the navy (representing debt collection and stuff like that) around the caribbean. I haven't been able to find that cartoon again, and I've been looking for it for a long time. If anyone knows where I can find it (If you can tell me the source it came from, it would be even more helpful) it would be great.

Sorry I'm not posting a cartoon right now, I'll see if I can find one :)
