Juize, the exact same thing happened to me. I didn't know what to do, and I started getting paranoid. I actually e-mailed TF, and asked did I do anything to get banned, because I could get around the site fine, but couldn't enter the forums. This is the first time that I've been able to get in since about 2:00am, MST.
It was eeriely coincidental that I couldn't get in, after folks had been talking about Apolyton being down...

Not all day, the forum was only down from 2 AM to 2 PM EST, because of a power ourage and rebooting problem.
And our main site is always up (it's on a different server).

Apolyton's downloads suck though. Most of them are half-assed maps. I went to the apolyton download section to look for somethings since you all are suppose to be the leading site and i couldn't find a damn thing except for all kinds of crappy ass maps. To me the only thing apolyton is leading in is a bigger Forum community, a better reputation to get Firaxis to give them the scoops. That's all.

I don't like Apolyton anyway. I'm registered there, to prevent someone to take my name, and have a postcount of something like 10. It sucks! I can only confirm everything people said in this thread. It only has a larger community, but even that is bad! Almost everyone knows eachother around here, and that is good, but over there everyone is a stranger! You think a guy is new, and see he is a 'King' while you still are 'Prince'.

Sun Tzu, as you know perfectly well, the scenario leagues as dead Abe Lincoln. There hasn't been an update since december
no matter what anyone at apolyton says,the database there stinks, they don't even have the scenarios/mods divided by category like sci-fi, historical, fantasy. not to mention that no one really submits any scenarios for download there anymore. when i want a new scenario I come here even though i'm mostly a poly person.

It's just like in cities. Once a city starts to get bigger, it loses that sence of community. Almost every time I click on one of the Poly links in teh CFC posts, teh Poly site never loads, or loads excruciatingly slowly. It may take 10 minutes to get one page displayed. Therefore, I rarely visit that site. I detest slow page displays!!!
That said, Apolyton may be good or bad, but I really haven't been able to find out. I did manage to download some of their OCC games a few months ago, though.
