Yes and yes. If we can stop anyone converting and get KK to Friendly, then we should be able to win.

On that note can everyone who is playing from now put a screenshot of the number of votes and the diplo screen that gives you the raw numbers (glance?), so we can check out the spread of religion and the likely votes.

Errmm ... wait, the Religious Lesson for GreyFox hasn't end just yet ...

So, I learn that:

• we need >= 75% votes to win
• we can only have < 75% votes ourselves
• Candidates are the one who control the AP and the Civ with highest number of votes and AP religion as state religion
• It is possible to have only one candidate for diplo win (unlike UN)

The first two implies we need a friend to vote us. The last two implies this friend has preferably not adopt AP religion as state religion.

As far as I see it, we have already fulfilled both requisites . What's remaining is to push KK to 26%, and we have 74%. Why bother with spreading AP religion to any other civ? So, obviously there are other criteria (such as there must at least be X number of voters?).

Every civ has to have a city with AP religion for the diplomatic victory option to be enabled.

Good luck to minnows Liverpool for March 14... the 0-time Premiership champions will be playing away to 10-time Premiership champions Manchester United (the most supported club in the world), in what will be a true David vs Goliath battle. It is fair to say that United won't be quivering in their boots at the prospect of Andrea Dossena and Lucas Leiva running rings around them. The corresponding fixture last season finished 3-0 to United... this time around, Liverpool will probably be happy to settle for ONLY losing by 3 goals, and not more, against the champions-elect......

Your crystal ball was a bit cloudy when predicting this one!!!
For those unaware Liverpool actually won by 3 goals (4-1) with the fore mentioned Andrea Dossena notching the fourth.

Well this started out as a nice simple turn set but by the end had me scratching my head immensely!!

So we start out with a fair bit of work to do spreading Christianity whilst keeping Khan happy or hopefully happier!

Things go fine initially with Willem being infected

Whiklst we firmly lock Khan into Confucianism by spreading it to his remaining cities

Now we get a bit unlucky but nothing to scream about as one was bound to fail but the extra votes for Lincoln (random spread) are undesired.

With paper in we trade for Willem’s map and get a complete map of the Qin, Saladin & Willem land mass so we can locate Frederick.

And things start to improve infecting Saladin and Kahn adopting Bureaucracy.

At the end decent progress in preparing for the vote and Kahn should now be definitely voting for us.

The need for another missionary for Qin has slowed down getting the votes we need khan to have. But one is on its way and will hopefully spread in a couple of turns.

So what has proven tricky? Well unless I am being daft I can’t for the life of me work out where Fred is!!! He must be on a small island somewhere, no one else wants to trade maps to help but we do have most of the globe mapped out!!

Frederick must take up quite a bit of room, when you take into account that he has 10 cities.

So my guess is that he is on the northern hemisphere, to the west of our continent. Seems like the only place with enough room.

Freddie must be within pre optics reach of the others so must be in the land NE of Saladin. Luckily we have a caraval laden with a missionary within the city so shouldnt be too tricky to locate this turn. Other than that all that is needed is to spread to Qin and spread enough to KK to allow the diplo vote to take place to wrap this up. I should be able to take this tomorrow night to leave time for someone to speak up if I have missed something.

Freddie has a shared religion with Saladin, which implies he is in close proximity to Arabia. If you gift a technology or two to Freddie, he may then give us a map. Qin has no religion-less cities, so we will have to take the risk of missionary failure in one of his size 2 cities with an existing religion. As for Kublai, spread Christianity to Ning-hsia, Turfan & Karakorum, re-directing the missionaries onto a Caravel, if an existing missionary was to fail...

I'm more than happy with you finishing the game in your turnset... in that way, we will have all had two turnsets. I think on normal speed, the Religious Diplo vote option comes up every 10 turns if all criteria are met. (maybe every 12). So... simply play on, until either we win, or we suffer some terrible unpredicted catastrophe!

Yes, I saw the game in a pub with a Liverpool fan... he gave me loads of grief as well...

Crystal ball - here goes...
- I STILL think Man Utd will win the Premiership this season
- I think Man Utd and Liverpool will be drawn together in Europe this season, with Man Utd winning the tie.

On the Dossena goal... I've got Reina in my Fantasy Football team (my only Liverpool player!!), and I was happy to collect 3 points for the assist he achieved on that goal. Nothing more to add!!

Good news...didnt take long to find Freddie

Bad news..Shendong is not receptive to our new theological ideas and our missionary is put to the stake a heretic.

Luckily I had detoured our recently trained missionary to the east coast in case of such an occurence.
Hannover is discovered at size 1 with no religion..perfect..only it discovers hindhu 1 turn before can be converted to AP.

I dedcide that nearby Stuttgart should be used instead to guard against another failure, especially since earlier that turn...


Okay so all set we need 62 votes and have 68 combined with KK. Just need to wait for the vote, to be safe some missionaries are moved to KK ready to convert.
A couple of score mongering measures I want 50k+
